📌 What happens when you delete a project?
Deleting a Search Atlas project removes the project and its associated data from Search Atlas. This action does not delete pull requests that were already created in your connected Git provider.
🔀 What happens to an open pull request?
An open pull request remains in your Git provider, such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket. You can still review, approve, merge, or close it there.
However, after the Search Atlas project is deleted, Search Atlas can no longer monitor or manage that pull request. Project-specific status updates, recommendations, and future changes will no longer be available for the deleted project.
⚠️ Before deleting your project
- Review all open pull requests associated with the project.
- Decide whether to merge or close each pull request in your Git provider.
- Save any project information or results you may need later.
- Confirm that deleting the project is intentional, as project deletion may not be reversible.
✅ Recommended approach
- Open your Git provider and review the project’s open pull requests.
- Merge approved changes or close pull requests you no longer want.
- Return to Search Atlas and delete the project only after completing your review.
