🔍 Why Is There No Data for Content Authority and UX?
Content Authority and UX metrics in OTTO do not populate automatically when you first create a project. These sections require you to complete specific prerequisite steps before any data appears. The most common reason for empty Content Authority and UX panels is that the required OTTO project setup has not yet been fully completed.
This article explains what you need to confirm and what information to have ready so that your Content Authority and UX data can begin to populate correctly.
✅ Prerequisites Checklist Before Data Populates
Before Content Authority and UX metrics become available, confirm that all of the following conditions are met:
- An OTTO project has been created — The project must be fully set up and connected to your target domain.
- Your website is connected — Your domain must be verified and actively linked to the OTTO project.
- Required OTTO project setup steps have been completed — OTTO projects require certain setup actions to be finished before data sections become active. Review your project for any incomplete or pending setup tasks.
- OTTO content has been created and deployed — At least one piece of OTTO-generated content must be live on your site. Content Authority and UX data cannot generate without live deployed content to analyse.
🛠️ What to Do If Data Is Still Missing
- Open your OTTO project. Navigate to your existing OTTO project in the platform, or create a new one if you have not done so already.
- Connect and verify your domain. Ensure your website is fully connected inside the project settings. OTTO must have access to your live site to gather the signals needed for Content Authority and UX scoring.
- Review and complete all pending setup tasks. Inside your OTTO project, check for any setup steps that are incomplete. Work through each one as directed. Content Authority and UX data will not populate until the required project prerequisites are addressed.
- Create and deploy OTTO content. Once setup steps are complete, proceed to create content using OTTO's recommendations and deploy it to your live site.
- Allow time for data processing. Once content is deployed, OTTO will begin analysing your pages. Depending on your site size and crawl speed, it may take some time for the Content Authority and UX panels to fully populate.
- If data still does not appear, escalate to support. Have the following ready when you reach out: your project name, the domain connected to the project, a description of which setup steps you have completed, and any error messages or empty-panel screenshots you can share.
