🧾 Understanding OTTO Sites and Top-Ups

Your base Search Atlas plan includes a set number of OTTO sites. If you need more sites than your plan allows, you can purchase top-ups — each top-up adds one additional active OTTO site to your account.

For example, if your base plan includes 5 OTTO sites and you purchased 2 top-ups, your total is 7 active sites. If you are only using 6, you are paying for one top-up you do not need. Removing that top-up will reduce your billing accordingly.

✅ Before You Start: Check Your Active Sites

Before requesting a top-up removal, confirm how many OTTO sites are currently active on your account so you do not accidentally reduce below your actual usage.

1. Navigate to the OTTO or OTTO SEO section of the platform.
2. Review the list of sites that have OTTO activated. Count only the sites with an active OTTO status.
3. Make a note of this number — this is the minimum number of sites your plan must support after the adjustment.

🛠️ How to Remove an OTTO Site Top-Up

Reducing your OTTO site top-ups and adjusting your billing plan requires assistance from our support team. This is not currently available as a fully self-service action. To get this resolved, have the following information ready before reaching out:

• The name of your project or account as it appears in Search Atlas.
• The number of OTTO sites currently active (from your count above).
• The number of top-ups you want to remove and the resulting total you want to keep.

Once you contact support with these details, our team can reduce your OTTO site count and adjust your billing plan accordingly.

📊 How Top-Ups Map to Extra Sites

The table below explains how top-ups translate to additional OTTO sites above your base plan allowance:

• 0 top-ups: You use only the sites included in your base plan.
• 1 top-up: 1 extra site beyond your base plan allowance.
• 2 top-ups: 2 extra sites beyond your base plan allowance.

Each top-up is billed individually, so removing one top-up reduces your bill by the per-top-up rate. Always ensure the number of active top-ups is equal to or greater than the number of sites that exceed your base plan limit — otherwise, OTTO may be deactivated on one or more sites.
