What Are Hyperdrive Credits?
Hyperdrive Credits (HDC) are a content-generation resource built into select Search Atlas plans. They are used to power certain AI-driven tasks within the platform, including press release generation. Each credit is consumed when you run one of these tasks.
HDC Entitlements by Plan
Hyperdrive Credit allocations are tied to your Search Atlas subscription tier. To check your exact current balance at any time, navigate to your account settings and look for the Hyperdrive Credits or Usage section — your remaining credits and monthly allocation are displayed there.
- Starter Plan: Hyperdrive Credits are not included. HDC-powered features such as press release generation are not available on this tier.
- Pro Plan: Includes a monthly allocation of Hyperdrive Credits. Credits reset on your monthly billing date. Log in and visit your account settings to see the exact number assigned to your plan.
- Growth Plan: Includes a higher monthly HDC allocation than Pro. Credits reset on your monthly billing date. Log in and visit your account settings to see the exact number assigned to your plan.
- Agency Plan: Includes the highest monthly HDC allocation, designed for high-volume content generation across multiple projects or clients. Credits reset on your monthly billing date. Log in and visit your account settings to see the exact number assigned to your plan.
To check your current credit count and remaining balance, go to your account settings — your HDC allocation and usage are listed there. If you need more credits than your plan includes, you can buy top-up Hyperdrive Credits yourself at any time, including mid-cycle, from the Avatar menu → Billing → Plans & Top-ups (direct path /billing?tab=plans-topups), then click Top Up next to HyperDrive Credits. Top-up credits roll over until used, while plan-included credits reset each billing cycle.

Do Press Releases Use HDC?
Yes — press release generation is one of the tasks that consumes Hyperdrive Credits. If you are on a plan that includes HDC (Pro, Growth, or Agency), you can generate press releases up to the limit of your monthly allocation. If you are on the Starter plan or have exhausted your monthly credits, press release generation will not be available until your credits reset or your entitlement is adjusted.
If Your Credits Are Exhausted or Your Allocation Looks Incorrect
If you have run out of Hyperdrive Credits or believe your allocation does not match your plan, first check your account settings to confirm your current balance and reset date. If the figures still look wrong, our team can review your account and confirm your exact entitlement. When reaching out, please have the following ready so we can resolve your query as quickly as possible:
- Your account or project name
- Your current plan name
- A description of the HDC-related task you are trying to complete
- Any error message or indication you received that credits are unavailable
