🤖 What Is an OTTO Seat?
OTTO is Search Atlas's OTTO SEO automation assistant. Each active OTTO seat allows you to connect and automate SEO tasks for one website. Seats are billed as an add-on beyond the inclusions in your base plan.
📦 What Does My Base Plan Include?
Your Search Atlas base plan includes a set number of OTTO seats by default, and this number varies by plan tier (for example, Starter includes fewer included seats than Growth, and Pro includes more than Growth). These included seats are a fixed part of your plan and cannot be removed or refunded — they are bundled into your base subscription price regardless of whether you actively use them. Any seats above your plan's included baseline are optional add-ons that you can cancel at any time. Check your Billing → Services page (top-right avatar menu → Billing → Services) to see exactly how many seats are included on your current plan.
💰 How Much Can I Save by Cancelling Extra Seats?
If you have purchased additional OTTO seats beyond the 2 included in your base plan, cancelling them will reduce your monthly bill. The savings depend on how many extra seats you are currently paying for and the unit price of each seat in your plan tier. To see your exact savings before cancelling:
- Click your avatar in the top-right and select Billing.
- Select Services.
- Review the line items for OTTO seats and note the per-seat cost.
- Multiply the per-seat cost by the number of extra seats you plan to remove.
That total reflects your monthly saving after cancellation takes effect. Note that you can only cancel seats beyond your plan's included baseline — the included seats for your tier cannot be removed.
🗑️ How to Cancel Additional OTTO Seats
- Log in to your Search Atlas account.
- Click your avatar in the top-right and select Billing.
- Select Services from the Billing submenu.
- Locate the OTTO Seats section in your active services list.
- Click Remove or Cancel next to the extra seats you want to discontinue.
- Confirm the cancellation in the prompt that appears.
Your remaining seats will reflect the change at the start of your next billing cycle. You will always retain the seats included in your base plan tier — these cannot be removed.
📊 Can I Pull Reports Without OTTO?
Yes. OTTO is an automation tool, not a prerequisite for reporting. You can access and pull reports using Google Search Console and Google Business Profile (GMB) data directly within Search Atlas without activating or using any OTTO seat. Your analytics, ranking reports, and performance data remain fully available regardless of your OTTO seat count. Cancelling extra OTTO seats will not affect your ability to view or export these reports.
⚙️ Accessing OTTO Settings
If you want to review which websites are connected to your active OTTO seats before making changes, navigate to OTTO SEO in the left sidebar and open SEO Automation inside it (URL: /seo-automation-v3). Here you can see all connected sites and manage which ones are assigned to a seat. Disconnecting a site from OTTO does not delete any data or reports associated with that site.
