Two common questions come up around posting and social publishing in Search Atlas: why Google Business Profile (GBP) isn't available as a channel under the Social tab, and why only one photo can be uploaded per Facebook post. This article explains what we know about how these areas currently work and what to expect going forward.
📍 Where to Manage Google Business Profile Posts Today
GBP posting is not part of the Social calendar — it lives inside the Local section of Search Atlas, which is purpose-built for managing your Google Business Profile. To access GBP posting tools, navigate to Local → GBP Projects in Search Atlas. From there you can manage your connected Google Business Profile and create posts associated with it.
You can also explore additional GBP management options within the Local section, such as editing your business information and managing reviews.
📲 Why GBP Is Separate from the Social Tab
The Social tab is designed for traditional social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Google Business Profile operates differently — it is tied to local search, Google Maps, and your business listing rather than a social network feed. Because of this, Search Atlas manages GBP publishing through a dedicated Local workflow, giving you access to GBP-specific features alongside your posts.
🖼️ Facebook Post Photo Limit
Currently, when creating a Facebook post in the Search Atlas Social calendar, only one photo can be uploaded per post. This is a known limitation of the current publishing integration. Multi-image support for Facebook posts is a frequently requested improvement.
In the meantime, here are a few workarounds to consider:
- Create a custom single-image graphic that combines multiple visuals before uploading.
- Schedule individual posts for each image if separate posts fit your content strategy.
- Use Facebook's native publishing tools for multi-photo albums when needed, then track performance separately.

Requests for GBP integration within the Social calendar and multi-image Facebook post support have been noted by the team.
