- AI-generated images are replacing your manually uploaded photos — controlled by a configuration setting.
- AI image generation for GBP posts is not working at all — typically a backend issue that requires support escalation.
1️⃣ AI images are replacing my uploaded GBP photos
If your scheduled GBP posts are showing AI-generated images instead of your original photos, this is usually related to the Image Source setting inside Search Atlas. Even if you manually upload images, the system may still replace them if the configuration allows AI-generated visuals.
⚠️ Common scenario
You may experience this if:
- You scheduled posts for multiple days (e.g., 30 days)
- You uploaded your own images manually
- You notice later that images have been replaced with AI-generated versions
- You expected original photos to remain unchanged
This can happen even when automation appears to be off, if the Image Source setting is not restricted to your media library.
✅ How to fix it
Follow these steps to ensure your original images are always used:
Step 1 — Open Posts
Navigate to: Left Sidebar → Local → AI Automations → Posts
Step 2 — Select your GBP location
Choose the business you want to manage. Example: “Feel Good Inc”
Step 3 — Open Automated Posting settings
Click the gear icon next to Automated Posting
Step 4 — Update Image Source
Under Image Source, select: 👉 Select only from Media Library
❌ Do NOT use: “AI Generate all images”
Step 5 — Save your changes
Click: 👉 Update settings
🔄 What to expect after updating
- Future scheduled posts will use only your uploaded images
- AI-generated images will no longer replace your originals
- Your manual uploads will remain consistent across scheduled content
⚠️ Important note
If posts were already generated or scheduled before updating this setting:
- They may still contain AI-generated images
- You may need to review or update those posts manually
2️⃣ 🚫 AI image generation not working for GBP posts
If you are trying to use AI-generated images for your GBP posts and the system is not generating images at all (e.g., images fail to appear, generation errors out, or AI data is not loading), this is a separate issue from the configuration above.
What to do:
- Record a short video or take screenshots showing the issue (the failed generation attempt, any error messages, and the affected GBP location).
- Contact Search Atlas Support and share the recording along with your GBP project details.
- Our specialized team will investigate and escalate as needed. These issues are typically backend-related and resolved on our side — no action is required from you beyond reporting it.
✅ Once resolved, simply retry generating AI images for your GBP posts and they should work as expected.
