The GBP (Google Business Profile) Audit is a local SEO tool inside Search Atlas that analyzes your business listing for optimization opportunities. However, this feature is only available on paid plans. If you are on a free trial, the audit will appear stalled, unresponsive, or fail to load entirely.
🔒 Why the GBP Audit Appears Stalled or Won't Load
If your GBP Audit is not loading or seems frozen, the most common reason is that your current plan does not include access to this feature. Rather than showing a clear error message, the tool may simply appear to hang or stall while attempting to load. This is expected behavior for accounts on a free trial or a plan tier that does not include GBP Audit access.
Other less common reasons the audit may stall include:
- A temporary sync issue with your connected Google Business Profile
- A GBP project that has not been fully set up or verified
- A browser cache or session issue
Before troubleshooting technical causes, first confirm that your plan includes GBP Audit access.

GBP Audit availability depends on your subscription tier:
- Free Trial: GBP Audit is not available. The feature is gated and will not load on trial accounts.
- Paid Plans: GBP Audit is included on paid plan tiers that cover this feature. Check your current subscription to confirm whether GBP Audit is part of your plan.
✅ How to Check Your Current Plan
- Log in to your Search Atlas account.
- Click your avatar in the top-right and select Billing (page title: "Billing") to view your active plan.
- If you are on a free trial or a plan that does not include GBP Audit, you will need to upgrade to a paid plan that includes this feature in order to unlock it.
🗺️ How to Access the GBP Audit After Upgrading
- Navigate to the GBP Projects section of your Search Atlas account.
- Select an existing GBP project or create a new one by connecting your Google Business Profile.
- Once your project is open, the GBP Audit functionality will be available.
If you do not yet have a GBP project set up, you must create and connect one before the audit can run. Make sure your Google Business Profile is verified and properly linked to your Search Atlas account.
