🚀 General Improvements
Enhanced UI performance and improved overall stability across GBP pages.
▶️ GBP Project Overview
The GBP Project Overview provides a snapshot of your Google Business Profile account. You'll see key metrics such as profile strength, rankings, citations, and tasks that require attention.
▶️ Connecting Your Google Business Profile
Before accessing the full Project Overview, you must connect your GBP account to Search Atlas.
✅ To connect your GBP account, here is a Loom video with the exact steps.
- Log into your Search Atlas account.
- Go to Local → GBP Projects.
- Click the Connect GBP Account button.
- Sign in with the Google account that manages your GBP.
💡 For agencies or client accounts: Click Share Links (top right corner of the integration screen) and send the link to the GBP owner. They can complete the connection by signing in. Once connected, the GBP Project Overview begins pulling in live data for monitoring and optimization.
▶️ Key Metrics
- BP Score (Profile Strength) — Shows how complete and optimized your profile is. Higher scores mean stronger profiles. Complete as many fields as possible for best results.
- Average Rank — Displays the average local ranking score from your Local SEO Heatmap. This updates automatically on your chosen refresh interval, or you can refresh manually.
- Citation Score — Reflects your GBP's presence across citation and aggregator networks. More live citations means a higher score. Updates automatically.
▶️ Service Area Support
Service Area support lets businesses define their service areas directly inside the Search Atlas dashboard.
This is especially valuable for service-based businesses (plumbers, electricians, delivery services, etc.) that do not operate from a storefront but want to clearly showcase the regions they serve.
What this means:
- Customers see accurate coverage areas in your Google Business Profile.
- Businesses can highlight where services are available, boosting local visibility.
- Managing and updating service areas is streamlined inside the platform.
▶️ How to update Service Areas
Here is a video with the exact steps.
- Go to Local SEO in Search Atlas.
- Select the business/location you want to edit.
- In the profile information section, open the Service Areas field.
- Add or edit cities, ZIP codes, or regions.
- Click Save to apply changes.
💡 Note: Be sure to describe your real service coverage. If your GBP profile is set as a storefront business, the Service Area option may not display.
▶️ Social Media Integration
Social Media Integration allows users to automatically share GBP posts to connected social media accounts.
Currently supported:
- Facebook Pages
- Instagram Creator Accounts
- Twitter (X) Creator Accounts
- TikTok
Users can connect any of these accounts, automatically share GBP posts to connected social channels, and manage each channel independently.
ℹ️ Sharing is supported for Facebook Pages, Instagram Creator accounts, Twitter (X) Creator accounts, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
▶️ How Social Sharing Works
Step 1: Connect Accounts
- In Search Atlas, go to Settings → Integrations.
- Click Connect under the Social Media option.
- Log in with your Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X), LinkedIn, or TikTok credentials.
- The system displays all available Facebook Pages, Instagram Creator Accounts, Twitter (X) Creator Accounts, LinkedIn Pages, and TikTok accounts linked to your profile.
⚠️ Only Business/Creator-type accounts are supported per platform (not personal profiles).
Step 2: Select Preferred Account — Choose the account where you want GBP posts to be automatically shared.
Step 3: Manage Connections — To disconnect or update any linked account, go to Settings → Integrations and select the account.
▶️ Business Assistant / My Tasks
The Business Assistant monitors profile completeness and optimization. If information is missing, it automatically generates tasks in My Tasks.
You can complete, ignore, or take action on tasks, and refresh the list to view the most up-to-date recommendations.
