📍 Overview
In this guide, you'll learn how to connect your Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) to your Search Atlas account using the GBP Projects area of your dashboard.
This setup allows you to manage your local presence and leverage Google listings from inside your dashboard. We've also included a workaround for a known Google bug affecting some Workspace accounts.

✅ What You'll Need
- A verified Google Business Profile
- Admin access to your Search Atlas account
- A Google account with the correct permissions (Workspace or Gmail)
🔗 How to Connect Your GBP Listing
- Log in to Search Atlas and go to the account where you want the listing connected.
- Open the Local → GBP Projects section from your dashboard (left sidebar).
- Start a new connection and sign in with your Google credentials when prompted.
- If you have access to multiple profiles, make sure to choose the correct business listing.
- Approve the requested permissions to let Search Atlas manage your Google Business Profile.
🐞 Google Workspace Bug – Temporary Fix
Some users on Google Workspace accounts experience an error during authentication. If you're affected:
- Try using a personal Gmail account with manager access on your GBP listing.
- Or switch to an incognito window and repeat the connection steps.
We're actively monitoring updates from Google on a permanent fix.

After connecting, be sure to refresh your GBP data regularly from inside Search Atlas to sync your latest posts and reviews.
