Overview
If you have configured your Google Business Profile (GMB) posts to require authorization before publishing, Search Atlas can send you an email alert each time a post is queued and waiting for your approval. Setting up or adjusting this notification behavior requires a backend configuration change made by the Search Atlas support team.
How GMB Post Authorization Alerts Work
When post authorization is enabled on your account, GMB posts are held for approval before publishing. Email alerts notify you when a post is waiting for your review. Enabling, disabling, or troubleshooting these alerts is not currently configurable through the platform's self-serve interface — it is handled on the backend by our team.
What to Do If You Are Not Receiving Alerts
If you are not receiving email notification alerts for pending GMB post approvals, or if you need this feature enabled on your account, please reach out to the Search Atlas support team. To help the team process your request, have the following ready:
- Your account email address — the registered email associated with your Search Atlas account.
- The business location(s) affected — the name or names of the Google Business Profile locations for which you need alerts configured.
- A description of the issue — whether alerts have never been received, stopped arriving, or need to be enabled for the first time.
