🔍 Overview

If you need to undo every change OTTO has deployed to your site, the Roll Back All button lets you reverse all optimisations in a single action. Before you can access this button, you must first select your site inside Content Genius. Skipping this step is the most common reason customers cannot find the option.

🖥️ Step 1 — Open Content Genius

In the left sidebar, click Content (Content Genius). This opens the Content Genius dashboard where all your OTTO-managed sites are listed.

🌐 Step 2 — Select Your Site

This step is required. The Roll Back All button will not appear until a site is actively selected.

1. On the Content Genius dashboard, locate the site you want to roll back.
2. Click the site name or its corresponding Manage button to open the site view.
3. Confirm the site name is displayed at the top of the page before continuing.

↩️ Step 3 — Roll Back All Deployed Changes

1. With your site selected, look for the Roll Back All button. It is located in the upper area of the site management view, near the deployment controls.
2. Click Roll Back All.
3. A confirmation prompt will appear asking you to verify the action. Read the message carefully, as this will undo all OTTO-deployed changes for the selected site.
4. Click Confirm to proceed.

OTTO will begin reverting all deployed optimisations. Depending on the number of changes, this may take a few moments to complete.

⚠️ What to Expect After Rolling Back

• All changes previously deployed by OTTO will be removed from your site.
• Your site will return to the state it was in before OTTO applied those optimisations.
• The changes will still be visible inside Content Genius as undeployed suggestions, so you can review and selectively redeploy individual items if needed.
• Rolling back all changes does not delete your OTTO configuration or disconnect your site.

💡 Rolling Back Individual Changes Instead

If you only want to undo specific optimisations rather than everything at once, you can roll back changes one at a time. Inside the site view, locate the deployed change you want to reverse and click the individual Roll Back option next to that item. This gives you more granular control without affecting the rest of your deployed changes.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't I see the Roll Back All button?
The most common cause is that no site has been selected. Return to the Content Genius dashboard, click into your site, and the button will become visible.

Can I redo the changes after rolling back?
Yes. The suggestions remain in Content Genius after a rollback. You can review them and choose to redeploy any or all of them at any time.

Will rolling back affect my live site immediately?
Yes. The rollback is applied to your live site. If OTTO had made on-page changes, those will be removed once the process completes.
