📄 Why Unpaid Articles Leave the Dashboard

Last updated on Oct 29, 2026

📄 What happened to the article

An article can leave your content list when it stays unpaid after it is published. Publishing places the piece on the dashboard, but it does not complete the order. If payment is not finished, the platform removes the unpaid article from the list. Customers often notice this a few weeks later, including around 26 days after the publish date, once the unpaid window has closed.

💳 Why payment was not taken

Removal means the order was never completed. The platform does not charge you for an article after it has been removed as unpaid. A live URL, including a page such as a published article on your site, does not by itself confirm that Search Atlas collected payment. Payment is tied to a completed order, not to the date the article first appeared in the list.

🔎 How to confirm the status

  1. Open the content or orders area of your dashboard and search for the article title or URL.
  2. Check whether the item shows as unpaid, removed, or missing.
  3. Review recent invoices for a charge that matches that article. If there is no matching paid invoice, payment was not processed.
  4. Note the publish date and the date the article disappeared so the order can be traced.

🛠️ How to publish and pay again

If you still want the article, create or restore it and complete checkout before you leave the order. Use these checks:

  • Finish payment in the same session as the order so the article is not left unpaid.
  • Keep the invoice or confirmation that shows the article URL and a paid status.
  • Do not rely on the live page alone as proof of payment.

A page that remains on your website may have been published outside a completed Search Atlas order. That page is separate from whether this platform charged you.

💬 When to contact support

If the article was removed and you believe you already paid, or you need the order restored, gather the article URL, the publish date, and any invoice number. If you need further assistance, open the chat widget in the bottom-right corner of the platform and type human teammate to be instantly connected with a member of our team.
