Content Genius creates and saves your articles inside Search Atlas, but it does not publish them automatically. You must take an extra step to push your content live — either by publishing directly to your connected WordPress site or by using OTTO SEO to automate the process. This article explains both options at a high level.
✅ Step 1 — Open Your Article in Content Genius
- Navigate to Content → Content Genius (What are we writing today?) in Search Atlas.
- If you have existing articles, select the one you want to publish from your content list.
- If you are starting fresh, create or finish writing your article before proceeding.
🚀 Step 2 — Publish Directly to WordPress
If your WordPress site is already connected to Search Atlas, you can publish directly from Content Genius. Look for the publishing controls within the Content Genius editor and follow the on-screen prompts to select your connected WordPress site and push the article live.
Note: If your WordPress site does not appear as an option, make sure it is connected under your account settings before attempting to publish. If you are unsure where to find the publishing controls, our support team can walk you through the exact steps for your account.
⚙️ Step 3 — Automate Publishing with OTTO SEO
OTTO SEO can handle publishing automatically as part of a broader SEO automation workflow. Use this option if you want OTTO to manage content deployment on your behalf. Access OTTO SEO within Search Atlas, ensure it is activated for the project linked to your target website, and look for content publishing options associated with your article. Follow the on-screen prompts to configure and confirm the automation — OTTO SEO will then handle the publishing step according to your settings.
Tip: OTTO SEO publishing works best when your WordPress site is already connected and OTTO has been activated for that project. If you are not sure how to activate OTTO for your project, our support team can assist.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
- Is my article already published after I write it? No. Writing and saving an article in Content Genius does not publish it. You must use the publishing controls in Content Genius or OTTO SEO to push it live.
- Can I publish to platforms other than WordPress? Direct publishing integration is available for connected WordPress sites. For other platforms, export your content and upload it manually.
- What if I cannot find the publishing option? Ensure your article is fully saved and that at least one WordPress site is connected to your Search Atlas account. If the option still does not appear, contact our support team with your project name and a description of what you see on screen.
- Will OTTO SEO publish my article without me reviewing it first? OTTO SEO follows the automation settings you configure. Review your settings carefully before enabling automated publishing to ensure content is reviewed according to your workflow preferences.
