If you want to stop new changes from being made — without undoing anything already done — you can pause OTTO activity for a site inside the OTTO SEO section. This suspends future OTTO activity while keeping every completed change intact.

❄️ How to Pause OTTO Activity on a Site

Pausing a site is the fastest way to stop OTTO without losing any work already applied. To do this, navigate to OTTO SEO → All Sites (SEO Automation) in the left sidebar, locate the site you want to pause, and use the available site management options to suspend OTTO activity for that site. Once paused, OTTO will stop all automated activity for that site — no new changes will be queued or deployed. Everything OTTO has already completed remains live on your site exactly as it was applied.

✅ What Happens to Completed Work

Pausing a site does not roll back or remove any changes OTTO has already made. All optimisations OTTO completed before the pause remain in place, and your site continues to benefit from that work. Only future changes are suspended.

▶️ How to Resume OTTO When You Are Ready

You can resume OTTO activity at any time. Navigate to OTTO SEO → All Sites (SEO Automation) in the left sidebar, find the paused site, and use the available site management options to reactivate it. OTTO will resume applying changes from where it left off.

Pausing a site is different from rolling back changes. Keep these distinctions in mind:

• Pause: Suspends all future OTTO activity. Completed work stays in place. This is the right choice when you want to stop new changes without undoing anything.
• Rollback: Reverts specific changes that OTTO has already applied. Use this only if you want to undo a particular optimisation, not simply pause future activity.

If you only want to stop further changes — not remove what is done — always use the pause option rather than a rollback.
