🗺️ Overview

Content Genius organises your articles into stages so you always know what needs attention. The two most common stages you will see are Not begun and Completed. What you need to do next depends entirely on how the article was originally created — from scratch, by AI, or via the DKN (Domain Knowledge Network) process.

📋 Understanding the 'Not Begun' Stage

An article lands in Not begun when it has been added to your project but no content has been produced yet. There are three creation methods, and each one has a different path forward:

  • Created from scratch: You added the article manually with a title or keyword. Content Genius does not auto-write these — you must open the article and write the content yourself in the editor.
  • Created with AI generation: You chose the AI-write option when adding the article. If the article is still showing as Not Begun, the AI run may not have completed. You can re-run the AI process (see steps below).
  • Created via DKN: The Domain Knowledge Network pulls insights from your connected domain to generate content. If the article is stuck in Not Begun, the DKN process can be triggered again.

✍️ How to Push a 'Not begun' Article to Be Written

Follow the steps below based on how your article was created.

For articles created from scratch (manual writing):

  1. Go to Left sidebar → Content and open Content Genius at /content/seo-content-assistant.
  2. Locate the article in the Not begun stage.
  3. Click the article title to open it in the editor.
  4. Begin writing your content directly in the editor. Content Genius will score your work in real time against the target keyword.

For AI-generated or DKN articles stuck in 'Not begun':

  1. Open Content Genius via Left sidebar → Content.
  2. Find the article in the Not begun stage and open it.
  3. Look for the available option to re-trigger content generation for your article (the exact option displayed will depend on how the article was originally created — AI-generated or DKN).
  4. Confirm any settings such as tone, length, or keyword focus, then start the generation process.
  5. The article status will update automatically once the process completes. Refresh the page if the status does not change within a few minutes.

Tip: If you are unsure how an article was created or cannot find the option to generate content, contact our support team for assistance — they can check the article's creation method and help you move it forward.
