Overview

When you delete an OTTO SEO project, you may notice that your quota does not immediately free up. In most cases, this happens because a frozen project is still occupying a quota slot. Frozen projects are not the same as active or deleted projects — they exist in a suspended state that still counts against your plan limit until they are properly removed.

What Is a Frozen OTTO SEO Project?

A frozen project is an OTTO SEO project that has been suspended — either automatically by the system or manually — but has not been fully deleted. Frozen projects:

  • Continue to occupy a quota slot on your account.
  • Do not appear in your active project list by default.
  • Block you from creating new OTTO SEO projects if your quota is at its limit.
  • Remain in a frozen state until they are properly removed.

This is the most common reason customers see a full quota even after deleting what appears to be their only project.

How to Identify and Remove Frozen Projects

To resolve a quota issue caused by a frozen project, you will need to locate any frozen projects in your account and remove them. Frozen projects may not appear in your default active project view, so look for a way to view all projects or filter by status within the OTTO SEO section of the platform (URL: /seo-automation-v3).
