๐Ÿ“… Google Business Profile and Social Calendar Explained

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Overview Many customers want to publish Google Business Profile (GBP) updates alongside their Facebook and other social media posts directly from the Social calendar. This article explains how GBP posting currently works in Search Atlas, why it lives in a separate section, and what you can expect going forward. ๐Ÿ” Where Google Business Profile Posting Lives Today Google Business Profile is not currently integrated into the Social calendar workflow. Instead, GBP post management is handled through a dedicated local SEO section of the platform, separate from your broader social media activity. To publish or schedule a Google Business Profile post, navigate to the local SEO area of Search Atlas (separate from the Social calendar) and look for the GBP or Posts management option. From there you can create, schedule, or manage your GBP updates. This keeps your local SEO activity organized in one focused workspace separate from your broader social media scheduling. ๐Ÿ“ฑ How the Social Calendar Works The Social calendar is built for managing and scheduling content across traditional social media platforms. At this time, Google Business Profile is not available as a publishing channel within the Social calendar workflow. ๐Ÿ’ก Why Are They Separate? Google Business Profile serves a different purpose than platforms like Facebook or Instagram. It is a local SEO tool that affects how your business appears in Google Search and Google Maps. Search Atlas keeps GBP management inside a dedicated local SEO section so that it sits alongside other local SEO tools, giving you a complete picture of your local presence in one place. ๐Ÿš€ Will GBP Be Added to the Social Calendar? Search Atlas is actively developing the platform and customer feedback directly shapes the product roadmap. While we cannot confirm a specific release date for GBP integration within the Social calendar, this is a commonly requested feature and your interest has been noted. Here is what you can do right now: - Use the dedicated GBP posting workflow for all GBP updates. It supports scheduling so you can plan content in advance. - Check platform release notes for announcements about new integrations and feature updates. - Share your feedback through the platform โ€” customer input helps prioritize what gets built next. โš™๏ธ Quick Reference: Where to Post by Platform - Google Business Profile: Use the dedicated local SEO section of Search Atlas. - Facebook, Instagram, and other social platforms: Use the Social calendar workflow. ๐Ÿ“… Google Business Profile & Social Calendar Integration

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Overview Two common questions come up around posting and social publishing in Search Atlas: why Google Business Profile (GBP) isn't available as a channel under the Social tab, and why only one photo can be uploaded per Facebook post. This article explains what we know about how these areas currently work and what to expect going forward. ๐Ÿ“ Where to Manage Google Business Profile Posts Today GBP posting is not part of the Social calendar โ€” it lives inside the Local section of Search Atlas, which is purpose-built for managing your Google Business Profile. To access GBP posting tools, navigate to Local โ†’ GBP Projects in Search Atlas. From there you can manage your connected Google Business Profile and create posts associated with it. You can also explore additional GBP management options within the Local section, such as editing your business information and managing reviews. ๐Ÿ“ฒ Why GBP Is Separate from the Social Tab The Social tab is designed for traditional social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Google Business Profile operates differently โ€” it is tied to local search, Google Maps, and your business listing rather than a social network feed. Because of this, Search Atlas manages GBP publishing through a dedicated Local workflow, giving you access to GBP-specific features alongside your posts. ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Facebook Post Photo Limit Currently, when creating a Facebook post in the Search Atlas Social calendar, only one photo can be uploaded per post. This is a known limitation of the current publishing integration. Multi-image support for Facebook posts is a frequently requested improvement. In the meantime, here are a few workarounds to consider: - Create a custom single-image graphic that combines multiple visuals before uploading. - Schedule individual posts for each image if separate posts fit your content strategy. - Use Facebook's native publishing tools for multi-photo albums when needed, then track performance separately. ๐Ÿš€ What's on the Roadmap The Search Atlas team actively reviews customer feedback to prioritise new features. Requests for GBP integration within the Social calendar and multi-image Facebook post support have been noted by the team. If you would like to share your specific use case or vote for these improvements, please reach out to our support team directly. โœ๏ธ Editing Social Posts and Content Sources Explained

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Overview The Social media tool in Search Atlas lets you create, schedule, and publish posts across your connected social accounts. Before anything goes live, you have full control to review and edit both the text and the image. This article explains exactly what you can edit and where the suggested content comes from. โœ๏ธ Can I Edit the Text Before Posting? Yes โ€” you can edit the post text at any point before it is published or scheduled. Here is how: 1. Navigate to Left sidebar โ†’ Local โ†’ Posts. 2. Open an existing draft or create a new post. 3. Click directly inside the text field to make changes. You can rewrite, shorten, expand, or completely replace the suggested copy. 4. When you are satisfied, choose to Publish Now or Schedule the post. No changes are ever published without your explicit action, so feel free to iterate until the copy matches your brand voice. ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Can I Edit or Replace the Image Before Posting? Yes โ€” you are not locked into the default image. You have two options: - Replace the image: Click the image thumbnail in the post editor, then select a different file from your Media Library (Left sidebar โ†’ Local โ†’ Media Library) or upload a new image directly. - Remove the image: Use the remove or clear option next to the image thumbnail if you prefer a text-only post. Accepted image formats and size limits follow the requirements of each connected social platform (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Google Business Profile). ๐Ÿ” Where Does the Content Come From? Search Atlas generates social post suggestions by pulling information from several sources tied to your project: - Your Google Business Profile (GBP) data: Business name, category, description, services, and attributes synced through the Local module. - Your website content: Pages, blog posts, and metadata associated with the domain linked to your project. - AI-assisted generation: Search Atlas uses this source data as context to draft relevant, on-brand copy. It does not invent details โ€” everything is grounded in the information you have already provided. If the suggested content looks off, it usually means the underlying source data โ€” your GBP profile or website โ€” is incomplete or outdated. Updating those sources will improve future suggestions. ๐Ÿ’ก Tips for Better Post Suggestions - Keep your GBP business description detailed and up to date (Left sidebar โ†’ Local โ†’ Overview). - Upload high-quality images to your Media Library so you always have on-brand visuals ready. - Use AI Content Templates (Left sidebar โ†’ Content โ†’ AI Content Templates) if you need more control over the style and structure of generated copy before bringing it into a social post. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Troubleshooting Common Issues - Text field is greyed out: Make sure the post is still in draft or scheduled status โ€” published posts cannot be edited retroactively. - Image does not update: Clear your browser cache and reload the editor, then try replacing the image again. - Suggestions seem irrelevant: Check that the correct project and connected GBP account are selected at the top of the Local section. ๐Ÿ’ฌ Need More Help? โœ๏ธ Social Tool: Edit Posts and Content Sourcing

๐Ÿ“‹ Overview The Social tool in Search Atlas uses AI to generate ready-to-publish posts for your connected social accounts. This article covers what you should know about editing posts before they go live and how the AI sources content for your business. โœ๏ธ How to Edit a Post Before Publishing AI-generated posts in the Social tool can be reviewed and edited before they are scheduled or published. To edit a post, follow these steps: 1. Navigate to the Social tool from the left-hand sidebar in Search Atlas. 2. Locate the post you want to edit among the posts that have not yet been published. 3. Click on the post to open it and make any changes you need to the post content. 4. Once you are satisfied with your changes, confirm or re-schedule the post as needed to save your edits. If a post has already been published, it cannot be edited retroactively within the tool โ€” you would need to make changes directly on the social platform where it was published. ๐Ÿ” Where Does the AI Pull Content From? The Social AI generates post content by drawing on information associated with your Search Atlas account. A key source is your business profile details โ€” such as the business name, description, industry, and website URL you have entered in your account settings. If the AI-generated content does not seem relevant to your business, review and update your business profile information in Local โ†’ Overview (GBP Profile Completion) / About tab to ensure all details are accurate and complete. Providing a more specific topic or prompt when generating a new post is also an effective way to improve output relevance. ๐Ÿ’œ Social Media Automation in Search Atlas

๐Ÿ‘‰ Video Walkthrough: See how to create projects, generate AI content, manage approvals, and schedule posts using the Social tool. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Audio Summary: Prefer listening? This short audio recap walks through the Social workflow covered in this article. Social Module Layout Overview ๐Ÿงญ Left Sidebar Navigation Within the main Search Atlas left sidebar, Social appears as its own dedicated module. Once selected, it expands into three primary sections: - All Projects - Pending Approvals - Calendar View This structure mirrors the lifecycle of social content: creation โ†’ review โ†’ scheduling. Access Path Left Sidebar โ†’ Social โ†’ All Projects / Pending Approvals / Calendar View The Social module in Search Atlas is an all-in-one social media scheduler designed to help you plan, organize, and automate your content workflow with ease. From creating projects and generating AI-powered captions to managing approvals and visualizing posts in a calendar, Social centralizes everything you need to manage multiple social channels efficiently. ๐Ÿš€ How the Social Workflow Works ๐Ÿงฑ Step 1: Create a Project Every workflow starts with a project. A project represents a campaign or brand initiative and acts as the container for all posts, settings, and connected accounts. In the Create New Project modal, you: - Give your project a name - Connect one or more social networks (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter) - Add a project summary that defines your audience, brand voice, and goals You can write this summary manually or let AI generate it automatically based on your connected accounts. This summary guides future content generation. โš™๏ธ Step 2: Configure Automation Settings Once the project is created, you configure how posts should run automatically. Key settings include: - Posting frequency (for example, every few days) - Image source for posts - Approval rules, allowing posts to publish automatically or require review before going live If approvals are enabled, posts are routed to a dedicated review queue instead of publishing immediately. ๐Ÿค– Step 3: Generate Content with AI Inside a project, you can create posts manually or generate them with AI. The AI workflow allows you to: - Select a social channel - Enter a prompt (for example, a topic or announcement) - Generate captions that align with your project summary - Automatically include relevant hashtags If the first version isnโ€™t right, you can regenerate or edit the content before moving forward. ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Step 5: Add Media to Your Post Posts can include visuals from multiple sources: - Upload new media manually - Select assets from your media library - Use AI-generated images This flexibility makes it easy to keep visuals consistent across campaigns without leaving the Social tool. ๐Ÿ“… Step 4: Publish or Schedule When your post is ready, you choose how it goes live: - Post Now publishes immediately - Schedule lets you pick a future date and time Scheduled posts clearly display the platform theyโ€™ll be published on and the exact publish time, ensuring full transparency before anything goes live. โœ… Step 7: Review in Pending Approvals If your project requires approval, posts appear in Pending Approvals. This view is built for reviewers and editors: - Clear status cards show totals for drafts, scheduled posts, and approvals - Posts waiting for review are surfaced in one place - When thereโ€™s nothing to approve, the interface confirms that youโ€™re fully caught up This keeps approval workflows clean and interruption-free. ๐Ÿ“… Step 8: Plan Visually with Calendar View The Calendar View provides a visual overview of all scheduled content. Key elements include: - A monthly calendar layout - Social network distribution counters (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) - Date selection to view or schedule posts - A persistent Schedule New Post action You can also schedule a new post directly from the calendar by selecting a date and choosing the projectโ€”making planning fast and intuitive. ๐Ÿ“Š Social Overview 1. All Projects โ€“ Overview of every social project and connected accounts 2. Pending Approvals โ€“ Posts waiting for manual approval before publishing 3. Calendar View โ€“ Visual timeline of scheduled and published posts ๐Ÿ“‚ All Projects View (Project Dashboard) ๐Ÿงฉ Purpose: Central hub for managing all social media projects. ๐ŸŽจ Customize AI Social Media Post Images

๐ŸŽฏ What This Guide Covers When you use the AI social media scheduler, the platform generates images based on your post topic and caption. By default, those images use a generic style that may not reflect your brandโ€”and occasionally may include visuals you did not intend. This article walks you through connecting your Brand Vault, adjusting image prompts, and setting exclusions so every generated image stays on-brand. ๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ Step 1: Open Your Social Media Project 1. In the left sidebar, click Social. 2. Select All Projects. 3. Click View next to the project you want to customize, or click Create Project if you do not have one yet. Each project has its own image settings, so make sure you are inside the correct project before making changes. ๐Ÿข Step 2: Connect Your Brand Vault The Brand Vault stores your logo, brand colors, fonts, and tone-of-voice guidelines. When it is connected to a social project, the AI uses those assets as context when generating images. 1. From the header, click the apps-grid icon โ†’ More Features โ†’ Brand Vault. 2. Open the Brand Vault page. 3. If no vault is connected, select the vault that matches this project. If you have not created one yet, you can set one up from your account settings. 4. Upload your logo, set your primary and secondary brand colors, and add any brand-specific imagery you want the AI to reference. 5. Save your changes. Once connected, the AI factors in your visual identityโ€”colors, logo placement, and overall styleโ€”each time it generates a new image. โœ๏ธ Step 3: Customize Image Generation Within your social project settings, you can guide the AI on what kind of imagery is appropriate for your brand. 1. Inside your project, go to Settings and look for image generation or style options. 2. Add descriptive keywords you want the AI to favorโ€”such as minimal flat-lay photography, outdoor lifestyle, abstract geometric shapes, or product close-up. 3. Add keywords for elements you want the AI to avoidโ€”such as stock-photo clichรฉs, text overlays, political imagery, or any other visuals not aligned with your brand. 4. If a visual style option is available, select the style that best fits your brand (e.g., Photographic, Illustration, Minimalist, or Brand-Colored). 5. Save your preferences. The AI applies these rules to each new image it generates for your posts. If you need further assistance, open the chat widget in the bottom-right corner of the platform and type human teammate to be connected with a member of our team.

Create a project for a brand 2. Connect Instagram and Facebook 3. Set posting frequency to every 3 days 4. Enable approval before posting 5. Generate posts using AI 6. Schedule posts for the week 7. ๐Ÿ”— How to Share UpContent in LinkedIn

Search Atlas does not currently support a direct integration between UpContent and LinkedIn. If you need to share curated content from UpContent to LinkedIn, you will need to do so manually outside of Search Atlas. What You Can Do Because there is no native connection between UpContent and LinkedIn, the general approach is: - Locate the content you want to share within your UpContent account. - Copy the article link or relevant content details. - Paste and publish that content directly on LinkedIn through LinkedIn's own interface. The exact steps for composing and publishing a post on LinkedIn may vary depending on your account type (personal profile or company page) and LinkedIn's current interface. Refer to LinkedIn's own Help Center for up-to-date guidance on creating posts. What to Have Ready When Contacting Support If you are experiencing a specific issue beyond the lack of integration โ€” such as an error in UpContent when trying to access or copy content โ€” please have the following ready when reaching out: - Your UpContent topic or collection name - The exact error message you are seeing, if any - The date and time the issue occurred If you need further assistance, open the chat widget in the bottom-right corner of the platform and type human teammate to be connected with a member of our team.

๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Control AI Images in Social Media Posts

๐Ÿ” Overview By default, the AI image generator in Search Atlas's social media scheduling tool may create generic visuals โ€” including logos, uniformed figures, or stock-style illustrations โ€” that do not match your brand. This article explains how to work with the AI image customization feature in the social media scheduling tool so that your own brand images are used instead of auto-generated ones. ๐Ÿšซ What's Happening If your scheduled social media posts are displaying AI-generated images instead of your own brand assets, this typically means that a custom image has not been assigned to the post, and the tool has filled it in automatically. Attaching your own image to the post will override the AI-generated one. โœ… How to Attach Your Own Image to a Scheduled Post The social media scheduling tool includes an AI image customization feature that allows you to replace auto-generated visuals with your own brand assets. Because the exact steps and interface may vary depending on your account setup and the current version of the tool, we recommend the following general approach: 1. Open the social media scheduling tool from your Search Atlas dashboard. 2. Locate the post that is showing an unwanted AI-generated image. 3. Open or edit that post. 4. Look for an option to add, replace, or upload a custom image within the post editing area. Replacing the AI-generated image with your own uploaded asset should prevent the AI from using a generated visual for that post. 5. Save or reschedule the post to confirm your changes. If you are unsure where to find the image upload or replacement option within the tool, our support team can walk you through the exact steps for your account. ๐Ÿ“‹ What to Have Ready When Contacting Support If you are unable to locate the image customization option or AI-generated images continue to appear after you have tried to replace them, please gather the following information before reaching out: - The name of the social media project or account where the unwanted AI images are appearing - A description or screenshot of the type of AI-generated image being produced (e.g., logos, figures, illustrations) - Whether the issue occurs on all posts or only specific ones - Any steps you have already tried to replace or remove the AI-generated image If you need further assistance, open the chat widget in the bottom-right corner of the platform and type human teammate to be connected with a member of our team.

๐Ÿ›‘ Stop Unwanted GBP Social Automation

๐Ÿ›‘ Why posts may still publish Posts can continue publishing after you stop creating new content if automation is still enabled, posts are waiting for approval, or previously scheduled content remains queued. Linked Google Business Profile (GBP) accounts may also publish content created before the automation was paused. โธ๏ธ Pause upcoming content 1. In the left sidebar, open Social โ†’ All Projects. 2. Find the project connected to the affected GBP account and select View. 3. Turn off any active automation, scheduling, or publishing setting available in the project. 4. Review the projectโ€™s scheduled content and remove posts you do not want published. ๐Ÿ“‹ Check pending approvals Open Social โ†’ Pending Approvals. Review the list and reject or delete any GBP posts that should not be published. Removing content from the calendar alone may not cancel posts already awaiting approval or publication. ๐Ÿ“… Review the calendar Open Social โ†’ Calendar View and check future dates for posts assigned to the affected project. Cancel or delete unwanted scheduled posts, then refresh the page to confirm they are gone. ๐Ÿ”— Check the linked account Return to Social โ†’ All Projects and open the affected project. Confirm that the correct GBP account is connected and that no other project is linked to the same location. If you no longer want Search Atlas to publish to that account, disconnect it from the project after removing queued content. โœ… Confirm publishing has stopped - Refresh Pending Approvals and Calendar View. - Confirm that no active automation remains in the project. - Check the GBP profile after the next scheduled publishing window. - Review other projects if the same GBP location is connected more than once. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ If posts continue Do not approve or recreate the affected content. Capture the project name, GBP location, post text, and approximate publication time. If available, also note whether the post appeared in Pending Approvals or Calendar View. If you need further assistance, open the chat widget in the bottom-right corner of the platform and type human teammate to be connected with a member of our team.
