Workspace admins have additional controls over how Search Atlas Coworker behaves across your Slack workspace. This article covers what admins can configure and how.
What Admins Can Control
- Which Slack channels Search Atlas Coworker is allowed to post in
- Whether connector actions require per-request approval or are pre-authorized
- Revoking Search Atlas Coworker access for specific users or across the entire workspace
- Managing Search Atlas Coworker access for teams with multiple Search Atlas sub-accounts
Channel Permissions
By default, Search Atlas Coworker can only post in channels it has been explicitly invited to. To add or remove Search Atlas Coworker from a channel:
- Add: invite Search Atlas Coworker to the channel using /invite @Search Atlas Coworker
- Remove: remove Search Atlas Coworker from the channel using /remove @Search Atlas Coworker or via the channel's member settings
Pre-Authorizing Connector Actions
Search Atlas Coworker can act in connected apps automatically or require user approval — depending on workspace settings. The default behavior is controlled by the Run connector actions without asking toggle in Workspace Settings (in the Search Atlas Coworker dashboard or in Slack under Apps → Atlas Agent → Home → Workspace Settings). As a workspace admin, you can also require approval for specific tools per connector — or grant always-allowed status for trusted tools.
To configure pre-authorized actions, contact Search Atlas support or access the Search Atlas Coworker settings from the left sidebar → Coworker → Settings.
Revoking Access for a User
If a team member leaves or you need to revoke their Search Atlas Coworker access:
- In the Search Atlas admin panel, go to Team > Users.
- Select the user and click Revoke Search Atlas Coworker Access.
- The user's Search Atlas connection and any connected apps they authorized will be disconnected immediately. Their routines will be paused.
Revoking Workspace-Wide Access
To remove Search Atlas Coworker from your entire Slack workspace, uninstall the Search Atlas Coworker app from your Slack workspace settings under Apps > Manage Apps. All user connections, routines, and connector authorizations will be terminated.
Managing Multi-Account or Agency Setups
If your team works across multiple Search Atlas sub-accounts, each user links their own Search Atlas account individually. Contact Search Atlas support if you need workspace-level account mapping for your agency setup.
