🗺️ Overview
Search Atlas's FAQ AI and Posts AI can generate hyper-local content targeting specific cities, neighborhoods, or service areas — but only if your prompts include that location detail. This article explains how to structure your prompts for location-based content and how to format your business name, address, and phone number (NAP) consistently across your website, Google Business Profile (GBP), and the Search Atlas backend to avoid mismatch warnings.
📋 Part 1: Fixing NAP Mismatch Warnings
NAP stands for Name, Address, and Phone Number. Search engines and GBP use NAP consistency as a trust signal. Any variation between your website, GBP front-end, and Search Atlas backend can trigger mismatch warnings.
Follow these rules to keep your NAP consistent across all three locations:
- Business name: Use the exact same legal or registered name everywhere. Do not add keywords, city names, or taglines in one place but not another.
- Address: Pick one format and apply it universally. For example, if you use St. on your website, do not use Street in GBP or Search Atlas. Include suite or unit numbers in the same position every time.
- Phone number: Choose one format — for example, (555) 123-4567 — and use it identically on your website, GBP listing, and inside Search Atlas. Avoid mixing formats such as 555-123-4567 or +15551234567 across platforms.
To update your business details inside Search Atlas, navigate to Local → Overview (GBP Profile Completion) and verify the saved NAP matches your live GBP listing and your website's contact page exactly.
🤖 Part 2: Targeting Cities with FAQ AI and Posts AI
By default, FAQ AI and Posts AI generate general content unless you explicitly tell them which location to focus on. The solution is simple: include the city, neighborhood, or service area directly in your prompt.
This works for both tools and is the fastest way to produce locally relevant FAQs and GBP posts without manual editing afterward.
✏️ How to Write a Location-Specific Prompt
Follow this structure when writing your prompt in either FAQ AI or Posts AI:
- State the service or topic you want to cover.
- Include the city or neighborhood name you are targeting.
- Add any audience or intent context that sharpens the output.
Here are examples you can adapt:
- FAQ AI — single city: "Generate FAQs for a plumbing company serving homeowners in Austin, Texas who need emergency pipe repair."
- FAQ AI — neighborhood focus: "Create FAQs for a dental clinic in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY, targeting families looking for pediatric dentistry."
- Posts AI — promotional post: "Write a Google Business Profile post announcing a seasonal HVAC tune-up special for customers in Phoenix, Arizona."
- Posts AI — multi-city campaign: "Write a GBP post for a landscaping company highlighting lawn care services in both Scottsdale and Tempe, AZ."
You can run the tool multiple times with different city names to build a full library of location-specific content for each area you serve.
🔁 Generating Content for Multiple Locations
If your business serves several cities or neighborhoods, treat each location as a separate prompt session. This gives you distinct, non-duplicate content for every area rather than one generic piece that mentions several cities awkwardly.
- Open FAQ AI or Posts AI from the left sidebar under Content → AI Content Templates.
- Write your first prompt with City A included.
- Save or copy the output.
- Return to the prompt field and replace City A with City B.
- Generate and save. Repeat for each location.
This workflow scales efficiently for businesses with large service areas and ensures each city gets tailored, locally relevant content.
✅ Quick-Reference Checklist
- NAP format is identical on your website, live GBP listing, and Search Atlas backend.
- Phone number uses one consistent format everywhere (no mixed styles).
- Address abbreviations (St., Ave., Blvd.) match exactly across all platforms.
- City or neighborhood name is included in every FAQ AI and Posts AI prompt.
- Each target city has its own separate prompt session for unique content.
