📍 What is the Rank Tracker Watchlist?

The Rank Tracker watchlist lets you monitor a curated list of keywords that matter most to your SEO strategy. When you add a keyword to your watchlist, it's saved so you can quickly access and track its ranking performance over time without scrolling through your entire keyword list.

🗺️ How to Navigate to Your Watchlist

Your watchlist lives in the Rank Tracker tool. Here's the exact path:

  1. Open the left sidebar and click Keywords.
  2. From the Keywords submenu, click Rank Tracker (Keyword Rank Tracker).
  3. Once in Rank Tracker, look for the Watchlist filter or tab at the top of your keyword list.
  4. Click Watchlist to view only the keywords you've added.

✅ Viewing Your Watchlist Keywords

When you filter to your watchlist, you'll see:

  • All keywords you've marked as watchlist items
  • Their current search rankings
  • Ranking changes and performance metrics
  • Historical rank trends for each keyword

Your watchlist persists across sessions, so your tracked keywords will always be there when you return to Rank Tracker.

➕ Adding More Keywords to Your Watchlist

If you want to add a new keyword while you're in Rank Tracker:

  1. Find the keyword in your full list or search for it.
  2. Click the star icon or Add to Watchlist button next to the keyword.
  3. The keyword is instantly added and will appear in your Watchlist filter.

❌ Remove Keywords from Your Watchlist

To stop tracking a keyword:

  1. Go to your Watchlist filter in Rank Tracker.
  2. Find the keyword you want to remove.
  3. Click the star icon again to remove it from your watchlist.

🔍 Alternative: GSC Watchlist Filter

Rank Tracker also offers a Google Search Console (GSC) Watchlist filter. This shows keywords from your connected Google Search Console data that you've flagged for priority tracking. You can toggle between your manual watchlist and your GSC watchlist using the filter options at the top of Rank Tracker.

💡 Pro Tip: Not the Same as LLM Visibility Watchlist

Search Atlas has two separate watchlist features:

  • Rank Tracker Watchlist — tracks keyword rankings and search engine positions (this article)
  • LLM Visibility Watchlist — tracks how your content appears in AI-generated summaries and LLM responses (different tool)

Make sure you're in the right tool for what you want to monitor.
