A visual display issue on the Site Metrics → Competitors page causes the sort icon for the Common Keywords column to appear next to the SE Keywords header instead of its own column. Sorting is fully operational — this is a display-only bug with a fix actively in progress.

🔍 What's Happening

On the Site Metrics → Competitors page, the sort icon (↕) for the Common Keywords column header renders out of position. When the header text wraps onto multiple lines at certain screen widths or zoom levels, the icon shifts and appears next to the SE Keywords column header — making it visually unclear which column is sortable or currently sorted.

  • Affected page: Site Metrics → Competitors
  • Affected element: Sort icon on the Common Keywords column header
  • Environment: Production
  • Affected browsers: Under investigation — appears to occur broadly across modern browsers
  • Trigger conditions: Under investigation — appears related to column header text wrapping at narrower viewport widths or lower browser zoom levels
  • Impact: Visual only — sort functionality works correctly

🛠️ Workaround Steps

Sort functionality is not affected. Use either approach below while the fix is being deployed:

  1. Click anywhere within the Common Keywords column header cell — the sort action is bound to the entire header cell, not just the icon. Sorting applies correctly regardless of where the icon appears visually.
  2. Increase browser zoom to 110% or higher using Ctrl + + (Windows/Linux) or Cmd + + (Mac) until the column header stops wrapping and the sort icon returns to its correct position.

📡 Engineering Status

Our engineering team has identified the root cause and is actively working on a fix. The fix will be deployed in an upcoming release — no action is required on your end. This article will be updated when the issue is resolved.
