Are you ready to take your content strategy to the next level? Introducing the Content Genius Topical Map feature, designed to help you build relevant topical maps based on your target keyword or topic.

This powerful tool allows you to input the number of clusters (categories) you want to create, making it easy to organize your content effectively. With the Content Genius Topical Map feature, you'll have a comprehensive and strategic approach to content development, setting you up for success in reaching your audience.

📊 Understand Topical Map Quotas

Quota Breakdown:

  • Topical Map: Yes → 1 Topical Map = 3 AI Premium Quotas
  • Full Article Generation (Topical Map): Yes → 1 AI Generated Article = 3 AI Premium Quotas

💡 Note on quota deduction: AI Premium Quotas are deducted when a generation is successfully initiated. If a generation fails due to a system or microagent error, please contact support so the quota can be reviewed and, where applicable, restored to your account.

📄 Create a Topical Map

Here's a Loom with the exact steps!

  1. Go to Content from the left-hand sidebar.
  2. Select Topical Maps.
  3. Click Create Topical Map.
  4. Enter your Primary Keyword or Topic.
  5. Choose your Language and Country settings.
  6. Click Create Topical Map.
  7. Review the generated topical clusters and subtopics.
  8. Your map is saved automatically to your Projects once generation completes — no manual save action is required. You can reopen it anytime from the Topical Maps dashboard.

🧭 Explore Topical Map Ideas

✅ Click View Topical Map to browse the generated clusters and subtopics in read-only mode, without making changes.
✅ Click Edit Topical Map to add, modify, or remove topics, clusters, and keywords within the map.
✅ View maps in Diagram or Table format

📊 Diagram Mode

  • Gray nodes = ideas not yet added
  • Green nodes = ideas added
  • Select a node → pop-up menu → click Add To Topical Map

📊 Table Mode

  • Add clusters, topics, or keywords directly by selecting them
  • Note: To generate articles with Search Atlas Content Assistant, clusters, topics, or keywords must first be added to the topical map. Once added, select the cluster, topic, or keyword and click + Create articles to open it in Content Genius (What are we writing today?), where the article will be drafted using your selected term as the primary focus. Each generated article consumes 3 AI Premium Quotas.

💡 What's included in a Topical Map-generated article: Blog-type generations are expected to include Topical Terms and Competitor Analysis enrichment alongside the drafted content. Landing-page type generations may behave differently and can omit some of these enrichments by design. If you expected Topical Terms or competitor analysis in a blog generation and they are missing, see the troubleshooting section below.

📍 Publish with WordPress

✅ After adding ideas, you can generate content, publish, and view directly on your WordPress site
✅ Use the Scroll option for content publishing

💡 Note: Publishing requires synchronization with the SearchAtlas WordPress Plugin

🛠 Create a New AI Settings Folder

  1. Go to Content > Topical Maps (Topical Map).

  2. Click Create Topical Map.

  3. Enter a Folder Name and optional Description.

  4. Select AI Folder Settings.

    • Choose whether to Auto-generate subfolders.
    • Set Default Language & Country preferences.
    • Enable or disable AI Suggestions for topical clustering.

  5. Save your settings.

  6. Your new folder will now appear in the Topical Maps dashboard, ready to store and organize generated maps.

🧭 Navigate Diagram Format

  1. In the top-right, switch the display mode to Diagram Format.
  2. Use the Zoom In / Zoom Out controls to adjust the view.
  3. Drag to pan across clusters and subtopics.
  4. Click on a Node (topic or keyword) to see related terms and details.
  5. Use the Filters panel to show or hide specific clusters.
  6. Export the diagram to PDF or PNG for reporting.

🔍 Generate Topical Maps in Other Languages

  1. Go to Content > Topical Maps.
  2. Click Create Topical Map.
  3. Enter your Primary Keyword or Topic.
  4. In the Language dropdown, select your desired language.
  5. In the Country dropdown, choose the corresponding market/region.
  6. Click Create Topical Map.
  7. Review the clusters and subtopics displayed in your chosen language.
  8. Your map is saved automatically to your Projects for future use.

🛟 Troubleshooting & Known Issues

Missing Topical Terms or Competitor Analysis in generated articles

In some cases, articles generated from a Topical Map may be returned without Topical Terms or Competitor Analysis outputs, even when these enrichments are expected (for example, on blog-type generations). This is typically caused by the supporting microagent tasks not triggering at the account level, rather than a product limitation.

If you notice that Topical Terms or competitor analysis are consistently missing from your generated content, please contact Search Atlas Support. The team can review your account configuration, confirm whether the microagent tasks are firing correctly, and restore the expected behavior.
