🗺️ What Is the Schema Markup Feature?
Schema markup is structured data that helps search engines understand your page content. Search Atlas scans your site and surfaces schema-related suggestions so you can improve how your pages appear in search results. The suggestion count you see reflects the total number of schema opportunities identified across your site.
📍 How to Navigate to Schema Markup
- Log in to your Search Atlas account.
- In the header, click the apps grid (More Features).
- Select Schema Creator to open the Schema Markup section.
- Click the schema count or the associated link to open the full schema view.
🔢 Understanding the Suggestion Count
The number displayed next to Schema Markup means Search Atlas has identified that many individual schema markup opportunities across your site. Each suggestion corresponds to a specific URL or page element where schema could be added, improved, or corrected.
- High counts are common on large sites and simply reflect the number of pages or elements flagged — not the severity of any single issue.
- The number does not reset automatically — it updates after a new site crawl is completed.
- You can page through suggestions using the navigation controls to review each one individually.
👁️ Viewing Detailed Schema Information
After clicking into a schema suggestion, you can explore the available details for each flagged URL. The information shown will depend on what Search Atlas detected during the crawl for that page. If the detail view appears limited, the steps below may help:
- Click directly on the URL or page name listed in the schema suggestion row to open the full per-page view.
- Review any schema-related data displayed for that page, including what structured data types have been detected and what may be missing or incomplete.
- If a page shows no detected schema, this means no structured data has been implemented on that page — the suggestion itself is the prompt to add schema.
⚠️ Why Schema Details May Appear Limited
There are a few reasons the detail view might seem sparse when you first click into a suggestion:
- The page has no existing schema: If a page has not implemented any structured data, the detected schema section will be empty. The suggestion itself is the prompt to add schema — not a reflection of existing code.
- The crawl is still processing: If you recently added your site or triggered a new crawl, full schema data may not be populated yet. Wait for the crawl to complete and refresh the page.
- Filters are applied: Check whether any active filters are narrowing your view and clear them if needed to see all suggestions.
🛠️ What to Do If You Cannot Find Schema Suggestions
If you are having trouble locating or interpreting your schema markup suggestions, try the following steps:
- Confirm your site has completed at least one full crawl in Search Atlas.
- Navigate back to the Schema Markup section via the header apps grid (More Features) → Schema Creator, and verify no filters are limiting the results.
- Refresh the page after a crawl completes to ensure the latest data is displayed.
