🗺️ Overview
The standard Search Atlas pixel installation places a script tag inside the <head> section of your website. However, if you manage a franchise site, a locked-down CMS, or a platform where your parent organisation controls template access, you may not be able to edit the <head> directly.
📋 Before You Start
Gather the following before attempting any method below:
- Your Search Atlas pixel snippet (copy it from your Search Atlas dashboard).
- Login credentials for whatever CMS access level you do have — even limited access may be enough.
- Contact details for your franchise web administrator, in case you need to escalate a formal request.
🔍 Where to Find Your Pixel Snippet
If you have not copied your snippet yet, log in to Search Atlas and navigate to your dashboard to locate the pixel snippet. If you are unsure where to find it, contact your Search Atlas account administrator or reach out to our support team for guidance.
What to Do When You Cannot Access the Head Tag
Because the specific steps for installing the Search Atlas pixel when head access is unavailable depend on your CMS, hosting environment, and account configuration, our support team will work with you directly to identify the correct approach for your setup.
To help us resolve this as quickly as possible, please have the following ready when you contact us:
- The name of your CMS or platform (e.g. a franchise-managed system, a proprietary CMS, etc.).
- A description of what access level you currently have (e.g. page editor only, no template access).
- Any error messages or limitations you have encountered when attempting installation.
- Your Search Atlas account name or project name.
If you need further assistance, open the chat widget in the bottom-right corner of the platform and type human teammate to be connected with a member of our team.
