After running AI schema generation in Search Atlas, you may notice the Deploy button remains grayed out and unclickable. This can be confusing because the AI generation appears to have completed successfully. This article walks you through self-serve steps to resolve the issue before escalating.
🔍 Why the Deploy Button May Be Grayed Out
The Deploy button can remain inactive after AI schema generation for a variety of reasons. The following self-serve steps resolve the issue in most cases.
✅ Steps to Try First
- Refresh the page. A full browser refresh (Ctrl+F5 or Cmd+Shift+R) can clear a stale UI state that is preventing the button from activating.
- Re-run AI schema generation. Navigate back to the schema generation step and run the AI generation again. Once it completes, check whether the Deploy button becomes active.
- Check for unsaved or incomplete changes. Make sure all required fields or schema selections have been completed. An incomplete schema state can keep the Deploy button disabled.
- Try a different browser or clear your cache. Browser extensions or cached data can sometimes interfere with button states. Test in a private/incognito window or a different browser.
- Log out and log back in. Re-authenticating can reset session state that may be causing the issue.
