What Is This Issue?
Some users find that edits made in the Report Builder — such as custom text changes, layout adjustments, or section modifications — appear to save successfully but then revert or disappear when the report is reloaded. In some cases, connected data sources like Google Analytics may also become difficult to remove.
This is a known issue that our engineering team has investigated. Follow the steps below to resolve it on your own, or contact our support team via the chat widget if the issue persists.
How to Fix Disappearing Report Edits
- Clear your browser cache and cookies. Cached data can interfere with how saved report data is loaded. Clear your cache, then reload the Report Builder and check whether your edits persist.
- Try an incognito or private browsing window. Open the Report Builder in an incognito window to rule out browser extensions or cached sessions causing the revert behavior. Make your edits and save, then reload the page in the same incognito session to confirm whether changes are retained.
- Try a different browser. If the issue only occurs in one browser, switching to another (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge) can help confirm whether this is a browser-specific problem.
- Re-save the report after each individual edit. If you are making multiple changes, try saving after each individual change rather than making all edits before saving. This can help isolate which specific edit is triggering the revert.
- Remove and re-add connected data sources. If a connected data source such as Google Analytics appears stuck or cannot be removed, disconnect it from the report, save, then reconnect it and save again.
