If your client received a Report Builder report showing empty or missing local citation data — even though the citation campaign shows as completed — this is typically caused by a data synchronization issue between the Local Citations module and the Report Builder. This article explains what is happening and what to have ready when you reach out for support.
⚙️ Why This Happens
Report Builder pulls citation data from your Local project at the time the report is generated. If the report was created or last refreshed before the citation campaign finished syncing, the report may capture an incomplete data snapshot. This is a known synchronization issue that requires backend investigation to resolve.
📋 What to Have Ready When You Escalate
Because this issue involves a backend data sync problem, our team will need to investigate on your behalf. Before reaching out, please gather the following information so we can resolve it as quickly as possible:
- The name of the affected project in Report Builder.
- The name of the Local Citations campaign that appears completed but is not showing data in the report.
- The approximate date and time when the report was generated or last viewed.
- Any error messages or screenshots showing the empty citation sections in the report.
- The Google Business Profile account or location associated with the project, if applicable.
