🔍 Overview
If you need to remove a website from your Search Atlas project, the option is available directly inside the Site Metrics section of your dashboard. This guide walks you through exactly where to find it so you can complete the action in seconds.
🧭 Where to Find the Remove Option
The Remove option is located inside Site Metrics, which manages your list of tracked websites. Follow these steps to reach it:
- Log in to your Search Atlas account.
- In the left sidebar, click Site Metrics. This takes you to the website list at /site-explorer/list.
- You will see a list of all websites currently added to your project.
- Locate the website you want to remove.
- Look for the three-dot menu icon (⋮) or an options button on the right-hand side of that website's row.
- Click that icon to open the action menu.
- Select Remove from the dropdown options that appear.
Important: The Remove option only appears when you hover over or click the options icon on a specific website row. It is not visible at first glance on the page — you must interact with the row to reveal it.
✅ Confirming the Removal
After clicking Remove, you may be prompted to confirm the action. Follow these steps to complete it:
- A confirmation dialog will appear asking if you are sure you want to remove the website.
- Click Confirm or Remove in the dialog to finalise the deletion.
- The website will be removed from your project list immediately.
Note: Removing a website from your project deletes its tracked data from your dashboard. This action cannot be undone, so make sure you are removing the correct website before confirming.
⚠️ Common Reasons You May Not See the Remove Option
If you are having trouble locating the Remove option, check the following:
- You are on the wrong page: Make sure you navigated to Site Metrics in the left sidebar, not to a sub-page such as Keyword Magic, Rank Tracker, or Keyword Gap. The website list only appears on the main Site Metrics page.
- You are not hovering over the correct row: The options icon becomes visible when you move your cursor over the website's row. Try hovering directly over the row of the website you want to remove.
- You do not have the correct permissions: If you are a team member with restricted access, you may not have permission to remove websites. Contact your account owner to adjust your role permissions.
