🧩 What Is the OTTO Pixel?

The OTTO Pixel is a small tracking script that connects your Squarespace website to Search Atlas. Once installed, it allows OTTO SEO to collect on-site data, monitor performance, and apply automated SEO optimizations directly to your site.

🔍 Step 1: Find Your OTTO Pixel UUID in Search Atlas

1. Log in to your Search Atlas account.
2. In the left sidebar, click OTTO SEO, then open SEO Automation (URL: /seo-automation-v3).
3. Select the project associated with your Squarespace website.
4. Navigate to the OTTO Settings or Pixel section within your project dashboard.
5. Locate your unique OTTO Pixel UUID script. It will look similar to a short JavaScript snippet containing a unique identifier string.
6. Copy the full script to your clipboard.

🌐 Step 2: Add the OTTO Pixel to Squarespace

Squarespace allows you to inject custom code through its built-in Code Injection feature. Follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Squarespace account and open your website dashboard.
2. In the left sidebar, click Settings.
3. Scroll down and click Advanced, then select Code Injection.
4. In the Header field, paste your OTTO Pixel UUID script.
5. Click Save in the top-left corner.

Important: Code Injection is available on Squarespace Business plans and above. If you do not see this option, check your current Squarespace subscription plan.

✅ Step 3: Verify the Pixel Is Installed Correctly

1. Return to Search Atlas, click OTTO SEO in the left sidebar, then open SEO Automation.
2. Open your project and navigate to the OTTO Settings or Pixel section.
3. Check for a confirmation indicator showing the pixel has been detected on your site.
4. If the status shows Installed, the installation was successful. Otherwise, it will show Not Installed.

It may take a few minutes after saving in Squarespace for Search Atlas to detect the pixel. If it has not been detected after 10–15 minutes, clear your browser cache and reload both platforms.

⚠️ Common Issues and Tips

• Pixel not detected: Double-check that the full script was pasted without any characters missing. Even a small copy error will prevent detection.
• Code Injection not available: This feature requires a Squarespace Business plan or higher. Upgrade your plan if needed.
• Script pasted in the wrong field: Always paste the OTTO Pixel script in the Header field, not the Footer or Page Header fields.
• Multiple websites: Each Squarespace site needs its own unique OTTO Pixel UUID. Do not reuse a pixel script from a different project.
