- Webstudio home page as front page: An imported Webstudio home page is now automatically set as your WordPress front page.
- Persistent audit logging: Webstudio ZIP imports now keep a persistent audit log for better traceability. View import history in Plugin Settings > Import Logs to track when and by whom Webstudio bundles were imported.
- White Label hardening: The plugin now prevents settings lock-out caused by invalid
white_label_plugin_menu_slugvalues and validates this value on save. - Smarter OTTO rendering: OTTO server-side SEO rendering, which adds structured data and meta tags, is now skipped on custom and Webstudio pages that already ship complete SEO implementations. This prevents OTTO from injecting unwanted SEO markup and resolves cases where custom HTML was injected unexpectedly.
- Cleaner page deletion: Deleting a custom or Webstudio page now cleans up shared assets and resets the front page when needed.
- Project-based deduplication: Each Webstudio project is now tracked separately, reducing false duplicate warnings across multiple sites that use the same project.
🔒 Security improvements in this release
This version adds protection against unauthorized access and cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks.
- Added nonce and capability checks to the Instant Indexing AJAX handlers (Google GIAPI and Bing IndexNow), the redirections list-table actions, and the 404 Monitor list-table actions.
- Hardened input sanitization for per-post snippets and the hero image URL.
🛠️ Stability and behavior fixes
This release also corrects several errors and inconsistent behaviors.
- Stability fixes: Resolved fatal errors during ZIP import, on plugin update when the directory name differs from the package slug, and in REST context from
get_current_screen()calls. Also prevented a TypeError when non-string values were passed to meta element handling. - Performance: Batched SEO indexation option imports to prevent PHP memory exhaustion on large sites. Execution Settings now reports the real server upload limit instead of a hardcoded 128 MB.
- Behavior corrections: Prevented duplicate H1 headings on Content Genius synced posts, fixed connection status to correctly show "Not Connected" after manual API key entry and Sync Now, and resolved a case where activating the plugin caused 404s on all pages except the home page.
- Settings fixes: The "Disable SEO Meta Box" setting now correctly hides the SEO meta box in the Classic editor, and the "Disallow Empty Archives" toggle now saves correctly on SEO Controls.
