After OTTO deploys a heading optimization on your site, you may notice one or more of the following symptoms on your homepage or other pages:
- JavaScript errors appearing at the top of the page
- Broken page layout or malformed HTML structure
- Heading text displaying HTML entities (e.g., & instead of &)
- Elementor or other page builders rendering incorrectly
These issues are caused by a conflict between the OTTO deployment and how your site processes heading tags. The deployment can inject code into the tag in a way that breaks the expected HTML structure, leading to rendering errors on the frontend.
⚠️ What to Expect
This is a known bug tied to how OTTO heading optimizations are injected into certain site configurations. Because the root cause requires investigation on the backend, there is no guaranteed self-serve workaround. Attempting to manually undo or reconfigure OTTO settings without guidance may not fully resolve the issue and could introduce additional conflicts.
