🔍 Overview
If you no longer want Search Atlas to access your Google Ads account, you can disconnect the integration at any time. Removing the connection stops Search Atlas from syncing your Google Ads data and prevents any further actions being taken on your behalf. This guide walks you through the exact steps to do so.
⚙️ Before You Disconnect
Keep the following in mind before removing your Google Ads integration:
- Active campaigns will not be paused or deleted — disconnecting only removes Search Atlas's access; your Google Ads campaigns continue running in Google independently.
- OTTO PPC features will stop working — any automation or optimisation tasks powered by the Google Ads connection will no longer function after disconnection.
- You can reconnect at any time — simply go through the Google Ads connection flow again when you are ready.
🛠️ How to Disconnect Google Ads
- Log in to your Search Atlas account.
- Click on your account avatar or profile menu in the top-right corner of the platform.
- Navigate to Settings.
- Select the Integrations section from the settings menu.
- Locate the Google Ads integration card.
- Click the Disconnect button next to the Google Ads connection.
- A confirmation prompt will appear — review the message and click Confirm to complete the disconnection.
Once confirmed, Search Atlas will immediately revoke its access to your Google Ads account. The integration card will update to show a disconnected status.
🔐 Revoke Access in Google as Well (Recommended)
Disconnecting from within Search Atlas removes access on our side. For a complete removal, we recommend also revoking the Search Atlas app permission directly in your Google account:
- Go to myaccount.google.com.
- Select Security from the left-hand menu.
- Scroll to Third-party apps with account access and click Manage third-party access.
- Find Search Atlas in the list and click Remove access.
This ensures no residual permissions remain on Google's side.

- Will disconnecting delete my Google Ads data inside Search Atlas? — Historical data already synced may be retained in your account for reporting purposes, but no new data will be pulled after disconnection.
- Will my Google Ads campaigns be affected? — No. Your campaigns, ad groups, and budgets remain completely unchanged inside Google Ads.
- Can I reconnect a different Google Ads account? — Yes. After disconnecting, you can connect any Google Ads account by returning to the Integrations settings and following the connection flow.
- I don't see a Disconnect button — what should I do? — Ensure you have the correct user permissions in Search Atlas. Only account owners or admins can manage integrations. If the button is still missing, contact support via the chat widget.
