📅 Content Planner Quota Reset After Billing
📋 Overview Your Content Planner quota resets on a monthly basis, tied to your billing cycle — not necessarily the exact moment a payment is processed. If your quota does not appear to have reset after a successful payment, this article explains why that may happen and what steps to take. 🔄 How the Monthly Quota Reset Works Regardless of whether you are on a monthly or annual plan, your Content Planner quota is designed to reset every month on your designated quota reset date. This date is separate from your annual renewal date (if applicable) and should be visible in your billing dashboard. - Monthly plan customers: Your quota resets on the same date each month when your billing renews successfully. - Annual plan customers: Your quota still resets monthly. The date shown in the platform should reflect your monthly quota reset date, not your annual renewal date. If you see your annual renewal date listed as the quota reset date, this may be a display error — your quota should still reset monthly in practice. 🔍 Where to Check Your Quota Reset Date 1. Log in to Search Atlas. 2. Click your account menu and navigate to Billing → Plans & Top-ups. 3. Look for the text "All recurring quotas reset on your next billing date". This should show your upcoming monthly reset date. If the date displayed does not match what you expect — for example, if it shows your annual renewal date instead of a monthly date — this is a known display issue that has been flagged and addressed. Your actual quota resets should still occur monthly. 📍 How to Check Your Content Planner Usage 1. In the left sidebar, go to Content. 2. Select Content Planner. 3. Your current usage and remaining quota will be displayed at the top of the page. ⚠️ Common Reasons Your Quota May Not Have Reset - Payment processing delay: If your billing payment was delayed or required a retry, the quota reset may be held until the payment is fully confirmed. - Billing renewal not charged: In some cases, a renewal charge may not have processed correctly, which prevents the quota from resetting. Check your billing page to confirm the payment status. - Display lag: Occasionally, the platform UI may take a short time to reflect the updated quota after a reset. Try refreshing the page or logging out and back in. - Annual plan display issue: If you are on an annual plan and the billing page showed your annual renewal date as the quota reset date, this was a known front-end display issue. Your monthly resets should still apply — check your actual Content Planner usage to confirm. ✅ Steps to Take If Your Quota Has Not Reset 1. Go to your Billing page and confirm your most recent payment was successfully charged. 2. Navigate to Content → Content Planner in the left sidebar and check your current quota balance. 3. Refresh the page or log out and log back in to rule out a display delay. 4. If the quota still has not reset after confirming a successful payment, contact our support team immediately so we can investigate and manually trigger a reset if needed. 💬 Still Need Help? 📝 Content Planner
The Content Planner helps you build content marketing and editorial calendars in minutes. It streamlines your workflow by generating hundreds of keyword and topic ideas relevant to your products and services—no more manual research or clustering. By entering a target keyword and selecting a country code (e.g. US, GB, AU), the tool analyzes the top 20 SERPs, retrieves keywords each page ranks for, and automatically organizes them into keyword clusters. These clusters give you ready-to-use ideas for content creation, tailored to your industry and audience. 🚀 Accessing the Content Planner You can find the Content Planner inside the Search Atlas dashboard under the Content section in the left-hand navigation menu. Alternatively, open it directly here: Content Planner. 🗂️ Using the Content Planner - Table View: Displays clusters in a clear row-and-column format, perfect for comparing metrics side by side. - Grid View: Provides a more visual, card-based layout for browsing ideas. The Content Assistant uses those keywords as the focus terms for the draft—incorporating them into the generated headings, paragraphs, and on-page recommendations so the resulting article is aligned with the cluster you chose. ⚠️ Limitations & Notes - Cluster generation and article creation may consume Content Genius / AI credits on your plan—check your plan limits before running large batches. - Results are based on the top 20 SERPs for the target keyword and country you select, so coverage depends on what Google returns for that region. - Targeting is driven by country code; broader language-specific coverage outside of the selected country may be limited. - The number of clusters returned depends on the keyword and SERP data available, so volume can vary between queries. ❓ Content Planner FAQs Where can I find keyword clustering ideas? 🎯 Understanding Target Keyword Quota Consumption
🔍 What Are Target Keywords? Target keywords are a shared resource across your Search Atlas account. Every time you assign a keyword to a piece of content — whether manually or automatically through a tool — it counts against your plan's target keyword quota. Your quota is not just consumed by published articles; it is consumed the moment keywords are assigned. 📊 Why Your Quota Can Disappear Quickly Many customers are surprised to find their quota exhausted after creating only a small number of articles. The most common reason is that two powerful tools assign target keywords in bulk by design: Topical Maps and the Content Planner (Keyword Planner). Understanding how each tool works will help you plan usage carefully. 🗺️ How Topical Maps Consume Quota Topical Maps, found at Left sidebar → Content → Topical Maps, generate a comprehensive cluster of topic ideas and subtopics around a seed keyword. When you build or expand a topical map, Search Atlas can assign a target keyword to every content node it creates — not just the ones you actively write. This means a single topical map generation can assign dozens or even hundreds of target keywords at once, depending on the depth and breadth of the cluster you configure. - Each node in a topical map that receives a keyword assignment counts as one target keyword against your quota. - A map with 50 subtopics will consume up to 50 target keywords immediately upon generation, regardless of whether you write any of those articles. - Regenerating or expanding an existing map can add further quota consumption on top of previous usage. 📋 How the Content Planner Consumes Quota The Content Planner, found at Left sidebar → Content → Content Planner, lets you plan and organise articles at scale. When you add or import keyword ideas into your content plan and assign them as target keywords, each assignment is deducted from your quota instantly. Bulk-importing a list of 200 planned articles will consume 200 target keywords — even if none of those articles have been written yet. - Quota is consumed at the point of assignment, not at the point of publishing. - Deleting a planned article or content node after assignment does not automatically restore your quota. Check your plan's quota restoration policy or contact support for clarification. 💡 A Real Example Suppose you have a 600 target keyword quota. You open Topical Maps and generate two large topic clusters — each with 150 subtopics — consuming 300 keywords. You then import a content plan of 300 articles into Content Planner and assign target keywords to all of them. Your quota is now fully consumed, even though you have only written and published 4 articles. The quota tracks assignments, not published content. ✅ Best Practices to Manage Your Quota 1. Check your remaining quota before generating a topical map. Review the quota counter via Top-right corner (avatar) → Billing → Plans & Top-ups (Billing) before starting a new cluster. 2. Start with smaller topical maps. Generate a focused cluster of 10–20 subtopics to test relevance before expanding to a full map. 3. Assign target keywords in the Content Planner incrementally. Only assign keywords to articles you plan to write in the near term, rather than bulk-assigning your entire content backlog at once. 4. Audit existing assignments regularly. Navigate to Left sidebar → Content → Content Planner and review all keyword assignments. Remove assignments from articles you no longer plan to pursue to free up quota where your plan allows it. 5. Coordinate across your team. If multiple users share the same account, establish clear ownership of who assigns target keywords and when, to avoid accidental bulk consumption. 🛠️ Where to Monitor Your Quota You can view your current target keyword usage at any time by navigating to your account's Billing section via Top-right corner (avatar) → Billing → Plans & Top-ups tab. This gives you a live count of how many target keywords have been assigned versus how many remain in your plan. Make it a habit to check this number before running large-scale operations in Topical Maps or Content Planner. 🚀 Need to Increase Your Quota? If your workflows consistently require more target keyword assignments than your current plan allows, consider upgrading your plan to access a higher quota limit. You can review available plan options under your account's billing settings. 📅 Check Your Scheduled Blog Posts in Search Atlas
📌 Overview Blog posts and social posts are managed in two separate areas of Search Atlas. If you are looking for your scheduled blog posts, you need Content Genius — not the Social calendar. This article walks you through exactly how to find and review your scheduled blog content. 🗂️ Blog Posts vs. Social Posts: Know the Difference It is easy to land in the wrong section. Here is a quick reference before you navigate: - Blog posts (articles, long-form content) → managed in Content Genius - Social posts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn updates) → managed in the Social calendar If you were previously directed to the Social calendar when asking about blog posts, that was the wrong location. Follow the steps below to reach the correct area. 🔍 How to Find Your Scheduled Blog Posts 1. Log in to your Search Atlas account. 2. In the left sidebar, click Content Genius. 3. Inside Content Genius, look for the Content Calendar or Publishing Schedule tab at the top of the page. 4. Your scheduled blog posts will appear here, listed by their scheduled publish date. 5. Click any post title to open the full article, review its details, or make edits before it publishes. 📋 What You Can See in the Blog Publishing Calendar Once you are in the Content Genius publishing calendar, you have access to the following information for each scheduled post: - Post title — the working title of your blog article - Scheduled date and time — when the post is set to publish - Status — for example, Draft, Scheduled, or Published - Assigned project or campaign — the content project the post belongs to - Target URL or connected site — the destination where the post will be published ✏️ How to Edit or Reschedule a Blog Post 1. From the Content Genius publishing calendar, click the post you want to update. 2. To change the scheduled date, locate the Publish Date field and select a new date and time. 3. To edit the content, click into the article body and make your changes directly. 4. When finished, click Save or Update Schedule to confirm your changes. ⚠️ Common Mistake: Landing in the Social Calendar If you searched for help on "scheduled posts" and were directed to the Social calendar, here is how to tell you are in the wrong place: - The Social calendar shows short-form updates linked to social media platforms. - There is no article body or long-form editor visible. - Post entries are tied to channels like Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn. If you see any of the above, navigate back to Content Genius using the left sidebar to find your blog posts. 💡 Tips for Managing Your Blog Schedule - Use the calendar view to spot gaps in your publishing cadence and fill them in advance. - Filter by status to quickly isolate posts that are still in Draft versus fully Scheduled. - If a post does not appear in the calendar, check whether it was saved as a draft without a publish date assigned. 🙋 Need More Help?
