WordPress Plugin version 2.6.17 is now live, bringing targeted improvements to the settings interface and search functionality alongside important fixes that prevent fatal errors and invalid canonical URL output.
✨ What's New
This release includes the following improvements and fixes:
- Refresh Token button fix: The oversized icon and misalignment on the settings page have been corrected, giving the button a clean, properly proportioned appearance.
- Redirections search improvement: The search field in the Redirections section now triggers a search when you press Enter, so you no longer need to click the Search button manually.
- White screen fatal error fix: A fatal error that occurred when WordPress internally checked for a white screen after saving a theme file has been prevented.
- Edge cache fatal error fix: A fatal error that could be triggered when clearing edge cache for a single URL has been resolved.
- Invalid canonical URL fix: The plugin now prevents invalid Array canonical URLs from being output to the page and automatically cleans up any already-corrupted stored values.
🛠️ How to Use It
- From your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Plugins and confirm the Search Atlas plugin is updated to version 2.6.17.
- If the update has not applied automatically, click Update Now next to the Search Atlas plugin.
- Once updated, visit the plugin settings page to verify the Refresh Token button displays correctly.
- Navigate to the Redirections section and test the search field by typing a query and pressing Enter to confirm the improved behavior is active.
📋 What to Expect
- No configuration changes are required after updating.
- Previously stored invalid canonical URL values will be cleaned up automatically — no manual intervention is needed.
- The fatal error fixes are preventative; if your site was already experiencing these errors, updating to 2.6.17 should resolve them.
- All other plugin functionality remains unchanged.
