Overview
The ability to duplicate a custom report layout and apply it across multiple projects is a feature that has been requested by our users. At this time, there is no confirmed built-in workflow for duplicating and reassigning custom report layouts between projects in Search Atlas.
What This Means for You
If you are trying to reuse a report layout across projects, the following workaround may help reduce manual effort while this capability is not yet available as a dedicated feature:
- Take note of the sections, data blocks, and design choices in your existing custom layout so you can recreate it consistently in other projects.
- When building a report in a new project, use your documented layout structure as a reference to rebuild it as closely as possible.
We understand this is not ideal, and we recognize the time this can take when managing many projects.

If you would like to see native layout duplication added to Search Atlas, we encourage you to submit or upvote this as a feature request through the platform. Your feedback helps our product team prioritize development.

If you believe this feature already exists in your account and you are unable to locate it, please have the following ready when you reach out:
- The name of the project containing the layout you want to duplicate.
- A description of what you have already tried in the Report Builder.
- Any error messages or unexpected behavior you have encountered, including the exact wording and a timestamp if possible.
