The Search Atlas Pro plan includes a default keyword tracking quota of 5,000 keywords. If your campaigns have grown and you need to monitor more keywords, you have options to expand your quota up to 10,000 keywords. This article explains those options so you can choose the best fit for your workflow.
⚙️ Your Two Options for Expanding Keyword Tracking
There are two ways to increase your keyword tracking quota on the Pro plan:
- Upgrade to a higher-tier plan — Moving to a plan above Pro gives you a larger built-in keyword tracking quota without needing to manage separate top-ups.
- Purchase a monthly keyword tracking add-on — If you want to stay on the Pro plan, you can purchase additional keyword tracking quota in monthly increments to reach the 10k limit.
Both options are managed directly inside your Search Atlas account. See the steps below for each path.
🚀 Option 1: Upgrade Your Plan
Upgrading to a higher-tier plan is the best choice if you consistently need 10,000 or more tracked keywords and want everything included in a single subscription.
- Log in to your Search Atlas account.
- Click your profile icon or account name in the top-right corner of the platform.
- Select Billing or Subscription from the dropdown menu.
- Review the available plans and select the one that includes the keyword tracking quota you need.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your upgrade. Your new quota will be available immediately after payment is processed.
➕ Option 2: Purchase a Monthly Keyword Tracking Add-On
If you prefer to keep your current Pro plan and simply extend your tracking quota, a monthly add-on is the most flexible choice. Add-ons are billed alongside your regular subscription and can be removed if your needs change.
- Log in to your Search Atlas account.
- Click your profile icon or account name in the top-right corner of the platform.
- Select Billing or Subscription from the dropdown menu.
- Locate the Add-Ons section on the billing page.
- Find the Keyword Tracking add-on and select the quantity that brings your total up to 10,000 keywords.
- Confirm the purchase. Your expanded quota will activate immediately.
📈 How to Check Your Current Keyword Tracking Usage
Before purchasing, you can review how many keywords you are currently tracking to understand exactly how much additional quota you need.
- In the left sidebar, navigate to Keywords → Rank Tracker.
- Review the keyword count displayed across your active tracking projects.
- Compare your current usage against your plan limit to determine the right add-on size.

- Choose a plan upgrade if you need a higher quota long-term and want the simplicity of one all-inclusive plan.
- Choose a monthly add-on if you want to stay on the Pro plan and only need extra quota for certain periods or campaigns.
- Both options are fully managed in your billing settings — no manual processes or support tickets required for standard quota changes.
