🔍 Overview
Search Atlas includes a Content Strategy feature that can automatically deploy content changes to your connected website. If you noticed updates published without manual approval, or you want to understand how to find and control these auto-deployments, follow the steps below to locate the relevant settings inside the platform.
📍 Where to Find the Auto-Deploy Setting
The auto-deployment controls live inside your OTTO SEO project, under the Content Strategy section. To get there:
- Open Search Atlas and navigate to your project dashboard.
- Select the relevant OTTO SEO project connected to your website.
- Click on the Content Strategy tab within that project.
- Within the Content Strategy section, look for the deployment or publishing controls — this is where automatic publishing behavior is managed.
⚙️ How to Turn Off Auto-Deployment
If you want content to require manual approval before going live, navigate to the Content Strategy settings inside your OTTO SEO project and look for the option that controls automatic publishing. Depending on your account configuration, you may be able to switch from automatic to manual deployment mode. Once you have changed the setting, save your changes so that future content updates do not publish without your review.
✅ Reviewing and Approving Pending Content
Once automatic deployment is disabled, content changes should queue up for your review rather than publishing immediately. Return to the Content Strategy tab in your OTTO SEO project to find content that is waiting to be published. From there, you can review each item and choose whether to publish or discard it before it goes live on your connected website.
📋 What to Have Ready If You Still Need Help
If you are unable to locate the deployment controls or content was published unexpectedly, have the following ready when you reach out:
- Project name — the name of the OTTO SEO project connected to your website.
- Website URL — the domain where content changes are being (or were) deployed.
- Description of the issue — for example, content that published without your approval, content stuck in a pending state, or uncertainty about where the deployment setting is located.
- Approximate date/time of any unintended deployment, if applicable.
