🔍 Overview
Some users have reported that topical terms do not autopopulate in the OTTO Content Assistant V2 sidebar, and are also unable to manually add or change keywords. This was a confirmed platform-level bug that has since been investigated, fixed, and deployed to production.
⚙️ What Was Happening
The issue affected the Content Assistant V2 sidebar, where topical terms are expected to populate automatically to guide AI content generation. Affected users experienced one or more of the following:
- Topical terms not appearing in the Content Assistant V2 sidebar
- Inability to manually add new keywords
- Inability to edit or update existing terms
This was not a configuration error on the user's side. The root cause was a platform bug related to how topical terms were being populated and filtered during AI generation in Content Assistant V2.
✅ Current Status
This bug has been fully resolved. The engineering team completed an investigation, scoping, development, code review, and QA process before deploying the fix to production. The issue is now marked as done and the fix is live for all users.
🚀 What You Should Do Now
If you were previously affected by this issue, follow these steps to confirm everything is working correctly:
- Open the Content Assistant V2 sidebar for the relevant page or project.
- Check whether topical terms are now autopopulating as expected.
- If needed, attempt to manually add or edit a keyword to confirm full functionality is restored.
🛠️ If the Problem Persists
The fix has been deployed to production, so most users should no longer experience this issue. However, if topical terms are still not appearing or you are still unable to edit keywords, consider the following before contacting support:
- Hard refresh your browser (Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows, Cmd + Shift + R on Mac) to clear any cached version of the page.
- Try a different browser or incognito window to rule out browser-specific issues.
- Check that you are using Content Assistant V2 and not an older version of the content workflow.
If the issue remains after trying the steps above, it is important to document what you are seeing. A screen recording or screenshots showing the missing topical terms will help the support team investigate quickly.
