Overview
When adding a website to OTTO inside Website Studio, the platform runs a URL validation check before allowing you to proceed. If your site shows as Invalid or Not Found, this article explains what to check and how to get help from our team.
What to Check First
Before reaching out to support, please confirm the following:
- Your URL is entered in the correct format, including the protocol (for example, https://www.yourdomain.com).
- Your site loads correctly in a browser with no error pages or maintenance screens active.
- Your SSL certificate is active and not expired.
- Your DNS records have fully propagated.
If you have confirmed all of the above and the validation error still appears, the issue will need to be investigated by our support team.
How to Escalate
When contacting support, please have the following ready so our team can investigate as quickly as possible:
- The exact URL you are trying to validate.
- A screenshot or description of the exact error message you see.
- The date and time (with timezone) when the error first occurred.
- Your project or account name in Search Atlas.
