What Are Budget Guardrails?

Search Atlas applies budget guardrails to Meta Ads campaigns to help protect your ad spend. These guardrails evaluate your campaign settings against available conversion data before allowing a campaign to go live. If the system determines that conversion data is incomplete or insufficient, it may block the campaign launch.

This is most common with sales campaigns that include offline conversions, where purchase data may not yet be fully synced or attributed inside the platform.

Why Your Campaign May Be Blocked

When a Meta Ads campaign is blocked at launch due to offline sales data, the platform's budget guardrails have determined that the available offline conversion data is insufficient to validate and proceed with the campaign. This is a known platform limitation — the block is not necessarily caused by a misconfiguration on your end, and in many cases it cannot be resolved through user-side changes alone.

If you are experiencing this issue, it is important to set the right expectation: resolving this block may require action from the Search Atlas team rather than a change you can make yourself in campaign settings.

What to Do If Your Campaign Is Blocked

Because this issue stems from a platform-level guardrail related to offline sales data, the recommended path is to escalate directly to the Search Atlas support team so they can investigate and log the request appropriately. When reaching out, please have the following ready:

  • Your campaign name
  • The date and time you experienced the block
  • Any error messages displayed on screen
  • Details about the offline sales data associated with the campaign

If you need further assistance, open the chat widget in the bottom-right corner of the platform and type human teammate to be connected with a member of our team.
