🔍 What this article covers
If conversions appear in Google Ads but not in the ads area of Search Atlas, the connection, selected account, or reporting window is usually the cause. This article explains the most common reasons and the checks to run before you escalate.
⚙️ Common reasons conversions are missing
- The Google Ads account is not connected, or the connection expired and needs to be refreshed.
- The wrong account or customer ID is selected, so Search Atlas is reading a different ads account than the one with your conversions.
- Conversion actions are new or inactive. Actions with no recorded conversions will not produce numbers to display.
- The date range does not include the conversion date. Conversions are shown for the period you selected, not for all time.
- Google has not finished processing the conversion yet. Recent activity can take time to appear in both Google Ads and Search Atlas.
- Permissions are limited. The Google user who connected the account must be able to view campaigns and conversion data.
🛠️ Check your setup
- Open the ads area in Search Atlas and confirm the Google Ads account name matches the account you use in Google Ads.
- If the account is missing or shows a connection error, reconnect Google Ads and approve the requested access.
- In Google Ads, open Goals or Conversions and confirm the action is active and has recent conversions.
- Match the date range in Search Atlas to the dates where Google Ads shows those conversions.
- Confirm you are looking at the same campaign, ad group, or conversion action. Filters can hide results that exist at the account level.
- Refresh the page after reconnecting, then review the same date range again.
⏱️ Allow time for reporting
Conversion reporting is not always instant. Google may attribute a conversion hours after the click, and imported or offline conversions can take longer. If a conversion was recorded today, wait for Google Ads to show it first, then check Search Atlas again. Search Atlas can only display conversion data that Google Ads has already made available to the connected account.
💡 Keep tracking consistent
- Use one primary Google Ads account for the site you are reviewing.
- Do not rename or remove an active conversion action if reports depend on it.
- Ask an admin to reconnect the account if your Google user loses access.
- Compare the same dates and campaign filters in both products before treating a difference as missing data.
💬 Still not seeing conversions
If the correct account is connected, Google Ads shows conversions for that date range, and Search Atlas still shows none, gather the account name, conversion action name, and date range you checked.
