🚀 How do I install the SearchAtlas (MetaSync) plugin?
Install the plugin under its original SearchAtlas name first, then apply white-label branding afterward.
- In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New.
- Upload or search for the SearchAtlas (MetaSync) plugin and click Install Now.
- Click Activate.
- In the WordPress admin menu, open the SearchAtlas (MetaSync) plugin and click the Single Sign-On (SSO) button on its settings page. A Search Atlas login window opens; sign in (and approve the consent screen if prompted) to authenticate your account in one click.
After authentication, the plugin imports your existing OTTO project configuration — including your project's API Key, OTTO UUID, and connection settings — and pre-populates the plugin with these values, linking it to your existing OTTO project rather than creating a new one. You're now ready to apply branding from the Branding settings page below.

When you log in via SSO, the plugin automatically populates both the API Key and OTTO UUID fields if a Search Atlas project already matches your WordPress domain. This removes manual copy-pasting and connects the plugin to the correct OTTO project immediately.
If multiple projects exist, the plugin prompts you to confirm or select the right one, so you connect to the intended project without configuration errors.

The interface shows visual connection indicators in both the sidebar and the top navigation bar, so you can confirm status at a glance without opening settings:
- Connected (green label): the plugin is authenticated and synced with your Search Atlas project.
- Not Connected (gray label): the plugin has not been authenticated or has lost connection.
🛑 How do I disable the dashboard inside WordPress?
If you prefer to manage projects only through the Search Atlas platform, you can disable the in-WordPress dashboard.
- When disabled, the status displays as Dashboard Disabled.
- Re-enable it at any time to open your OTTO project dashboard directly inside WordPress.

- Reset Plugin: restore all plugin configurations to their default values in one step.
- Error Logs: when WordPress debug mode is enabled, generate anonymous error logs to share with support and speed up troubleshooting.
🧯 Troubleshooting and known issues for the SearchAtlas plugin
- White-label dashboard domain not loading: custom dashboard domains depend on DNS propagation, which can take time to complete. Verify your domain's DNS records point to the correct white-label endpoint, and allow propagation to finish before testing the dashboard.
- Team member invites not received: confirm the invited email address is correct and check spam/junk folders. If the invite still doesn't arrive, resend it from the dashboard.
- Navigation menu not expanding or displaying correctly: a known issue can cause the plugin's navigation menu to display incorrectly. Refresh the page or clear your browser cache; if the problem persists, generate error logs and contact support.
- Reviewing error logs: with WordPress debug mode enabled, use the Error Logs option (see above) to generate anonymous logs, then share them with support to speed up troubleshooting.
