🔍 Why This Happens
When a Search Atlas subscription is canceled, automated Google Business Profile (GBP) posting configurations may not be deactivated immediately. This can cause scheduled or automation-driven posts to continue publishing to your Google Business Profile even after your account is no longer active. We take this seriously — unwanted posts containing inaccurate information can harm your business reputation, and stopping them quickly is our priority.
⚙️ What Needs to Happen
Stopping unwanted GBP posts on a canceled account requires our team to investigate and deactivate the automation on the backend. This is not something that can be resolved through the platform interface alone, as the posting configuration can persist after account cancellation.
🛠️ Information to Provide When Contacting Us
To help our team resolve this as quickly as possible, please have the following information ready:
- The name of the affected Google Business Profile location
- Your Search Atlas account name or ID associated with the canceled subscription
- Examples of recent unwanted posts (including approximate dates and times)
- Any GBP listing URLs that are affected
✅ What to Expect
Once our team receives your report, we will investigate the source of the automated posts on the backend and ensure all posting configurations are fully deactivated. We will confirm with you once the automation has been stopped and no further posts will be published.
If you need further assistance, open the chat widget in the bottom-right corner of the platform and type human teammate to be connected with a member of our team.
