🧭 Overview
If you recently switched or migrated your Anthropic Cloud account, your existing Search Atlas connection will be lost because the Model Context Protocol (MCP) configuration is tied to your account credentials. To restore the integration, you need to re-add the Search Atlas MCP URL inside your Anthropic Cloud account settings.
🔑 What Is the Search Atlas MCP URL?
Search Atlas connects to Anthropic Cloud via a Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoint. This URL tells Anthropic Cloud where to find and communicate with the Search Atlas toolset. When you change your Anthropic account, this connector is not carried over automatically — you must add it again manually.
The Search Atlas MCP URL is:
https://mcp.searchatlas.com/mcp/
⚙️ How to Restore the Connection
To restore your Search Atlas connection after an Anthropic Cloud account migration, you will need to re-add the Search Atlas MCP URL to your new Anthropic Cloud account. The exact navigation steps may vary depending on your Anthropic Cloud interface, so follow the MCP connector setup flow within your account settings and enter the MCP URL above when prompted for a server or integration endpoint.
If you are unsure where to locate the MCP connector setup in your Anthropic Cloud account, please reach out to our support team (see below) and have the following ready:
- Your Search Atlas project or workspace name
- Confirmation of which Anthropic Cloud account (email address) you migrated to
- Any error message you see when attempting to connect
✅ Verifying the Integration Is Working
After adding the MCP URL in your new Anthropic Cloud account, confirm the connection is working by testing an AI-powered feature in Search Atlas. If responses populate correctly, the integration has been restored. If the connection still fails, double-check that the MCP URL was entered exactly as shown above with no trailing spaces or extra characters.
⚠️ Common Issues After Account Migration
- Multiple Anthropic accounts: Make sure you are logged into the correct new account when adding the MCP URL. Connectors added to the wrong account will not link to your Search Atlas workspace.
- MCP URL added but still not connecting: Try removing the entry and re-adding it. Occasionally a partial save during initial setup can cause the connection to fail silently.
