🖥️ What Is Website Studio?
Website Studio is Search Atlas's built-in web builder that lets you create, manage, and optimise websites directly inside the platform. Before you can build or edit pages, you need to connect your website to a Website Studio project. If you are setting up a site for the first time, follow the steps below — you do not need an existing project link or project ID.
🔍 Before You Begin
Have the following ready before you start:
- Your website's full URL (for example, https://zelenkadevelopment.com/)
- Access to your domain's DNS settings or hosting control panel (needed if you want to publish changes live)
- An active Search Atlas account with Website Studio enabled
🚀 How to Connect a New Website
- Open Website Studio. In the left sidebar, navigate to Website Studio (located at /website-studio).
- Start a new project. On the Website Studio section, look for the option to create or add a new project. Select it to begin the setup flow.
- Enter your website URL. When prompted, type your full website address — for example, https://zelenkadevelopment.com/ — and proceed to the next step.
- Name your project. Give the project a recognisable name, such as your brand or client name, so you can find it easily later.
- Complete the connection. Follow the remaining on-screen prompts to finish the setup process. Depending on your site's size, the initial load may take a few minutes.
- Confirm your project is active. Once setup is complete, your new project will appear in Website Studio with your URL listed. Open the project to begin working on your site.
🌍 Publishing Changes to Your Live Site
After connecting your website, changes you make inside Website Studio are saved in the platform and are not automatically pushed to your live domain. To push updates live, follow the publishing options available within the editor. You may need a DNS or hosting connection configured depending on your setup.
