OTTO deploys NLP keyword optimizations through its own integration layer — not your CMS. This means they can appear active on your homepage even when your page editor shows no changes. Use the steps below to remove them entirely from within Search Atlas.

📋 What You Need to Know First

NLP keyword modules are injected by OTTO's deployment layer (typically a Cloudflare Worker or direct site integration). Because they live outside your CMS, you cannot remove them by editing your theme, templates, or page content. Undeploying a fix removes the live injection but keeps the recommendation saved in OTTO — you can re-apply it at any time without starting over.

These modules are injected as hidden structured data (JSON-LD) or hidden HTML elements in your page source, which is why they do not appear in your page editor but are still present in your page's markup.

⚙️ How to Remove NLP Keywords from Your Homepage

1. Open your Search Atlas dashboard and navigate to OTTO via Left sidebar → OTTO SEO → All Sites → [your project card].
2. Select your project.
3. Go to SEO Fixes or Deployments.
4. Use the page URL filter to locate your homepage — typically / or your root domain URL.
5. Find the fix type labeled NLP Keywords or NLP Terms. In the dashboard these may also appear as nlp_terms (Semantic Analysis / Knowledge Graph) or nlp_faq (Knowledge-Based Trust / Factual Enhancement).
6. Select the fix and click Undeploy, or toggle it off.
7. Confirm the action when prompted.

⏱ What Happens After You Undeploy

• The NLP keyword injection is removed from your homepage's live output.
• If OTTO is connected via a Cloudflare Worker, allow a few minutes for the Worker to re-sync before the change is visible.
• The NLP suggestions remain saved in OTTO and can be redeployed whenever needed.
• Known issue: A confirmed platform bug (currently queued for a fix) can cause NLP and FAQ modules to remain on the page after undeployment — a stale injection. If the content is still present after a few minutes and a hard refresh, contact support via the chat widget below.

⚠️ Common Mistakes to Avoid

• Do not edit your website files or CMS to remove these modules — changes there will not affect OTTO's deployment layer.
• Use Undeploy if you want to pause the fix. Only use Delete if you want to permanently remove the recommendation from your project.
• Undeploying NLP terms on your homepage does not affect NLP fixes deployed to other pages in your project.
• If the NLP module is injecting irrelevant keyword clusters (content unrelated to your site's topic), undeploy the homepage NLP fix and then redeploy it to regenerate only that page's output. This will not affect NLP fixes on other pages.
