Install the OTTO Pixel in Captivate Hub

🧭 Overview

The OTTO Pixel is a small tracking script that allows OTTO to monitor your site's SEO performance and automate optimizations. If your website is built on Captivate Hub and your domain is registered with GoDaddy, you only need to install the pixel inside Captivate Hub. You do not need to touch your GoDaddy account — GoDaddy is only your domain registrar and does not host your site content.

🔍 Step 1: Find Your OTTO Pixel Code

  1. Log in to your Search Atlas account.
  2. Navigate to the OTTO or SEO section of your account where pixel or tracking settings are available — the exact location may vary depending on your plan and account configuration.
  3. Select the project connected to your Captivate Hub website.
  4. Locate your OTTO Pixel script for that project.
  5. Copy the full pixel script to your clipboard. The code is a short <script> tag and is unique to each site (it carries that OTTO project's own ID via data-uuid), so each site needs its own snippet from its own Installation Guide — do not share it.

🖥️ Step 2: Open the Code Injection Area in Captivate Hub

  1. Log in to your Captivate Hub account.
  2. From the main dashboard, click on the website or hub you want to track.
  3. Look for a Settings area within the hub editor — the exact label and location may vary depending on your Captivate Hub plan and version.
  4. Within Settings, look for an option related to custom code or code injection — the exact label depends on your Captivate Hub plan and version.
  5. You should see a text area for code that loads in the <head> section of your pages.

📋 Step 3: Paste and Save the Pixel

  1. Click inside the code area designated for the <head> section.
  2. Paste the OTTO Pixel script you copied from Search Atlas.
  3. Make sure the code appears on its own line and is not merged with any other scripts already present.
  4. Save or publish your changes to apply them. Check whether your Captivate Hub plan requires you to republish your site before changes go live.

✅ Step 4: Confirm the Pixel Is Working

  1. Return to Search Atlas and navigate back to the section where your OTTO Pixel settings are located.
  2. Check the installation status for your project.
  3. If the pixel is not yet detected, wait a few minutes and refresh — it can take a moment for Captivate Hub to propagate the published change before Search Atlas can confirm the pixel is active.

⚠️ Do I Need to Change Anything in GoDaddy?

No. GoDaddy is only responsible for pointing your domain name to your Captivate Hub site. It does not control the content or code on your pages. All pixel installation work happens entirely inside Captivate Hub.
