Overview
Content Genius lets you organise your content projects into folders, and you can create as many folders as you need for the same domain. This article covers folder creation in Content Genius V3. If you have used an older version of the platform, note that the interface has changed — the steps below apply specifically to V3.
How to Access Content Genius
Before creating a folder, make sure you are in the right section of the platform:
- In the left sidebar, click Content to open the Content Genius workspace.
If you do not see a left sidebar option labelled Content, confirm with your account owner that your plan includes Content Genius access.
How to Create a Folder in Content Genius V3
Once you are inside the Content Genius workspace, look for the folder creation option within the workspace interface. The exact button label and location may vary depending on your account configuration, but the folder controls are accessible directly from the main Content Genius workspace view.
- Navigate to Content in the left sidebar to open Content Genius.
- Inside the Content Genius workspace, locate the folder creation control — this is typically found in the area where your existing projects and domains are listed.
- Select the option to create a new folder.
- Enter a name for your folder when prompted.
- Confirm your entry to save the new folder. It will appear alongside your existing folders.
You can repeat this process as many times as needed. There is no limit on the number of folders you can create for the same domain.
Can I Create Multiple Folders for the Same Domain?
Yes. Content Genius V3 supports multiple folders per domain. This is useful when you want to separate content by topic, campaign, team member, or content type. Each folder is independent — creating a new folder does not affect or overwrite existing ones.
Important: V2 vs V3 Interface Differences
If you previously used an earlier version of Content Genius, you may notice that the navigation and folder management interface looks different in V3. If you cannot find the folder controls using the steps above, this is likely due to interface changes introduced in V3. Use the folder creation option available within the current Content Genius workspace rather than any path you may remember from an older version.
Troubleshooting: Can't Find the Folder Controls?
If you are having trouble locating the folder creation option, work through the following checks:
- Check your navigation: Make sure you have clicked Content in the left sidebar and are inside the Content Genius workspace.
- Check your plan: Folder creation requires Content Genius access. Ask your account owner to confirm your plan includes this feature.
