API access is available on every Search Atlas plan, including Starter. You do not need to upgrade or ask support to enable it — you only need to create an API key.
📍 Where to Find It
Your API keys live in Settings → API Keys.
🛠️ Step-by-Step
- Open Settings in the Search Atlas dashboard.
- Select the API Keys tab.
- Click Generate new key.
- Copy the key and store it somewhere safe, such as your integration's settings or an environment variable.
From the same API Keys tab you can also regenerate or revoke existing keys. When you regenerate a key, update it everywhere you use it.
✅ How to Confirm It Worked
Make a request with your new key. A successful response means the key is active. If you get an authentication error, check that you copied the full key and that it has not been revoked or replaced by a newer one.
